With humble beginnings when established in 1997, today the company takes pride in designing and delivering Stationary Concrete Pumps, Truck Mounted Boom Pumps, Concrete Batching Plants and accessories, that meet international quality standards, to Indian and international customers.
In an exclusive interview to CONSTRUCTION OPPORTUNITIES, TEJ BHADBHADE, DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER, AQUARIUS ENGINEERS PVT LTD, gives an over view of the industry, emphasis on technology, research, design, innovation and a lot more.
Give us an over view and market dynamics in the equipment industry, How is the industry reshaping the technological future.
Post covid the market has been quite good. Last year and this year things have been very positive and all the players in the CE industry must be enjoying the positive trends. Government spending on infrastructure has been the catalyst and the same can also been seen in the recent budget.
Post covid, customers have also become more focused on getting budget friendly solutions which has also been one of our focus areas right from the beginning our goal is to provide end-to-end concrete solutions to customers relevant to their market needs using top of the line technology at a competitive budget.
For e.g. we have recently launched our MP Z 30 compact batching plant, which is a budget friendly product occupying a small footprint and is easily transportable in one single trailer. We launched this product after considerable market research. Similarly last year we had a couple of new launches, a new electrical series stationery pump 1406 E to expand our electrical range. We are looking to grow the electric stationery pump series knowing that our customers are looking forward to more environment friendly solutions.
Similarly we also have focus on environment friendly solutions in other areas example concrete slurry water recycling.
We have been very dominant in the precast segment in India and we will continue to grow in this segment in India and internationally. We have over 90% market share in batching plants installations in precast factories across India.
Your strategy in this price sensitive market. To what extent is consumer behaviour influenced by cost?
If the focus is just on price then definitely the quality will suffer. There is a limit to how much you can reduce price and still give a quality product. We at Aquarius believe in giving a as good as a price to a customer without compromising on quality.
Our strategy is essentially based on our data, we do our market research, have internal data analysis as to how costs can be controlled and what can be done to reduce costs.
Please provide details on your emphasis on technology, research, design and innovation?
Passion for Excellence is one of our values and harnessing the latest relevant technologies has always been our focus. If there are multiple technologies available for getting a job done we will always choose the best.
Give us an understanding of the after-sales services offered by your company?
We have a country wide service network which is probably the biggest amongst the players in our industry. We give direct service from our company, so as to ensure the quality our customer is getting post-dispatch of machine as well.
In the construction market your customer will be with you only if you offer excellent after sales service. This we have understood in our 25 years journey, and we wish as we grow for our customers to grow with us.
Which are the areas which will drive your business going forward.
One can’t have a very long strategy as markets keep changing, it all depends on what the market wants and the apt solutions one can offer. Currently, we are focused on India but also have foreign markets in sight.
How has BAUMA CONEXPO been for your company
Bauma has happened after a long time and it has been very good for us with quality footfall and genuine business enquires. We look forward to converting these enquiries into business.
