Spotlight – Escorts Kubota Limited January 2026

Escorts Kubota unveiled latest BS V–Compliant Construction Equipment at EXCON 2025

Escorts Kubota Limited, one of India’s leading engineering conglomerates in the agricultural and construction equipment space, unveiled its latest BS V–compliant construction equipment range at the recently concluded EXCON 2025 at Bengaluru.

In the earthmoving category, it introduced the 2.2-ton Kubota U22-6 Mini Excavator that gives precise digging, has zero-tail swing, ROPS/FOPS protection and an upgraded hydraulic system. It is suited for urban construction, basement excavation, and other confined-area tasks. Its digital interface and operator-friendly controls make it a powerful solution for sites where manoeuvrability is essential.

Escorts Kubota’s Hydra 15 Mining is a prototype-stage variant designed specifically for mining and quarrying conditions. It incorporates strengthened safety features, including a lift-jack guard and reinforced front bumper, along with an air-conditioned cabin for operator comfort. Developed to withstand high-impact operating conditions while ensuring predictable maintenance, it offers miners a reliable solution for rugged applications

The BLX75K Backhoe Loader – a prototype-stage variant for wider regional markets – is powered by a next-generation 74.3 hp Kubota CEV-V engine. It delivers improved fuel efficiency, has multiple

work modes and enhanced serviceability. The BLX75K reflects the growing integration of Japanese engineering capability into the company’s construction equipment portfolio.

At the forefront of the display was the Hydra 72, introduced as a concept-stage pick-and-carry crane engineered for higher-height lifting applications with a new 72-ft boom. The crane features a four-part rope-compensated boom, a heavy-duty hydraulic winch with integrated safety like outriggers, in-built safety brakes, lift cylinder safety valve systems, and a reinforced axle and transmission package built for continuous operation. Enhanced luffing capability and upgraded cabin ergonomics further support

operators working in demanding environments.

Nikhil Nanda, Chairman & Managing Director, said, “At Escorts Kubota, innovation and sustainability continue to deliver products that are technologically advanced, environmentally responsible, and economically efficient for our customers. Our new line-up combines Indian ingenuity with Japanese precision to address India’s growing construction needs.

Our latest range has been engineered to strengthen reliability, enhance operator comfort and reduce ownership cost. By optimising machine performance and minimising unplanned downtime, customers benefit from lower operating expenses over the equipment’s lifecycle. The enhanced durability ensures the machines withstand demanding conditions, delivering consistent productivity and dependable performance.”

Akira Kato, Deputy Managing Director, added, “The industry is moving toward application-specific solutions as customers seek machines that deliver higher productivity with lower long-term operating costs. Rising demand across categories has made this shift both practical and necessary.

Escorts Kubota is responding with products tailored to precise operational requirements, and the codeveloped backhoe loader is a significant example of the engineering direction we are building for the future.”

Sanjeev Bajaj, Chief Officer, Construction Equipment Business Division, said, “The new line-up reinforces the company’s focus on application-specific, high-productivity construction equipment that is designed to reduce the total cost of ownership for customers and meet the evolving requirements of India’s fast-growing infrastructure sector. With specialised needs rising across urban development, industrial logistics and mining, the refreshed range aims to deliver higher performance, reliability and operator comfort across diverse job environments.”
