The component industry is at a critical crossroads as construction equipment (CE) machines undergo a significant technological transformation. Being part of the electronics sector, we are experiencing one of the most substantial changes, particularly as equipment transition from Tier 4 to Tier 5 emission standards. Additionally, end customers are increasingly demanding enhanced technology regarding safety and user interfaces in the equipment, which is exactly what we deliver to the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

We at Enovation Controls are a leading manufacturer of Displays, Controllers and Integrated Machine Control Systems for Mining, Construction, Material Handling and Military Equipment. We are an OEM focused company who have a strong understanding of equipment and an experienced Application Engineering team in India who works with our customers to make solutions work. On the hardware side, we have the biggest range of displays in the market that are among the toughest in the market.

We bring the latest in control technologies to the Off Highway market. Or capability to make equipment more Operator friendly, Service friendly, have enhanced safety features and be Intuitive to use is what our OEM customers admire. This could be done by integrating Intelligent Displays and Controls, Keypads, Telemetry Solutions, Electro-Hydraulic Controls, Anti Collision solutions, Predictive Diagnostics to name a few.
What sort of Customer centric initiatives has your company undertaken to be one step ahead of competition
In 2019, we established a full-fledged Integration facility in India which works closely with our OEM customers in India and ASEAN region. Closeness to the customer, good equipment, understanding a strong Application engineering team and continuous training of our customers and the end users helps us establish a great connect with our customer and stay ahead of our competition.
Has your company launched any new products or launching any thing new at bauma Conexpo India
Yes, We have launched the S35 3.5 inch Color Display which is great for Small to Medium equipment, the SenderCAN Plus which is a configurable IO Module and the Navigation Keypad which works great with our Touch Screen displays.
Major demands made by end-users of your equipment. Is there a shift from initial cost price to TCO in Buyer Decisions? Importance of Aftermarket Services.
OEMs are now definitely more demanding and involved in the technology requirement on their equipment. Initial cost is still looked at but there is increasing importance given to TCO and long-term support. The end user also wants more tech in their product plus ergonomic cabins with increased reliability that ensures low or no down time on site.
Do you practice ‘Make in India and Sell Globally,’ use your India manufacturing base to supply to the global market.
Very much. In 2019 we setup a Integration & manufacturing facility in India which works closely with our OEM customers in India and ASEAN region. We are also evaluating an engineering center in India which would work with our global teams on new products and technologies.
Give us a brief view of your manufacturing facilities – their locations, product line, capacities and investments planned
Our India facility is location in Pune and has 3 product lines. This is also an integration facility which has Application Engineers, and system designers who work with OEMs to cater to their needs. We also offer solutions like Control panels, Proto wiring harnesses and complete Electro-hydraulic machine control solutions.
Your assessment of India’s manufacturing policy, to what extent does it foster growth of your company.
The respected government has over the past few years taken a lot of steps to promote Electronics manufacturing in India and made policies that are on the right track. For India to be a major electronics manufacturer the policy support needs to continue as only then will it foster the creation of an ecosystem of electronics manufacturing which we currently lack. But like I said we are on the right path so that’s a big positive.
Give us an understanding of your company’s performance this year and your outlook going forward?
Globally we are growing year on year with several new OEMs coming on board. In India we have seen growth in range of around 20 % every year from past 6 years with healthy profitability. New product launches and new OEM relationships are expected to keep the growth intact. From 2022 the India facility started looking for growth avenues into the ASEAN region including South Korea and have established Integrator partners and distributors in the region. Once this network matures, it will help drive further growth in the next few years.
As an exhibitor, what are your expectations from bauma Conexpo India 2024
We have always looked at exhibitions as a great place to meet prospective customers, our present customers and enhance our brand presence in India. bauma Conexpo India over the past few editions has become a show where we have great footfall of focused prospective customers and looking at the effort put in by the organizers, we expect that to continue this year too.
