Caterpillar unveils three new cat® excavator models at excon 2025 as india accelerates toward a sustainable infrastructure future

The company also unveiled the enhanced Cat® CVA Services Commitment featuring Next-Day Parts and Two-Day Repair Commitments.

Caterpillar Inc., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of construction and mining equipment, reinforced its commitment to India’s infrastructure growth at EXCON 2025, scheduled from December 9–13 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre.

Caterpillar unveiled three new hydraulic excavators under model numbers Cat® 321, Cat 322 and Cat 324, representing a strategic leap forward in delivering sustainable, digital-ready solutions built for India’s rapidly evolving construction landscape. Engineered for modern infrastructure projects, these models feature advanced drivetrains and intelligent control systems that enhance fuel efficiency and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, supporting customers in achieving their sustainability goals.

It was also announced that Caterpillar will be strengthening the value of a Cat® Customer Value Agreement (CVA), as every CVA will have an opportunity for an upgraded Services Commitment for customers, starting in 2026. The new Cat® CVA Services Commitment features Two-Day Repairs for common repairs, or the customer gets paid.

At the exhibit, customers experienced a broad lineup of machines equipped with smart technologies such as Product Link™, VisionLink™, Cat Grade with Assist, and CVAs (Customer Value Agreements), all designed to help increase jobsite efficiency, reduce total ownership costs, and elevate safety standards.

These digital-enabled services help customers make data-driven decisions, simplify maintenance, and enhance equipment lifecycle value.

Cat 321 Hydraulic Excavator – Less Downtime, Lower Operating Costs

  • 321 is a fuel-efficient all-purpose performer machine powered by advanced CAT C3.6 Engine and comes with 1 cu.mt. bucket.
  • Next Generation Electrohydraulic system with Integrated Engine Control Module (ECM) helps optimize fuel consumption without sacrificing digging force or controllability, thereby ensuring smooth, precise, and responsive performance.
  • Smart, Power and Eco modes let you tailor machine performance by adapting to the job, helping maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Reliable and durable and built on classic, proven components. Reinforced Cat structures extend machine life in harsh working conditions.
  • New Cat Cab, provide more space, visibility, comfort & safety. Touch screen monitor with Push to Start / Off button and intuitive operations make it easy for operator to deliver more.
  • Choose between two robust undercarriage options, standard 4.1 mt & optional 4.25 mt., both built to withstand demanding conditions.

Cat 322 Hydraulic Excavator – Designed for uptime

  • When you need muscle, precision, and cost control in one machine, the Cat 322 delivers. Purpose-built for high production, the 322 pairs fast cycle times with bucket options to move more material in fewer passes.
  • Durable 1.1 m³ Heavy Duty and 1.2 m³ General Duty buckets handle rock, gravel, and abrasive material with ease.
  • The Turbocharged Cat C3.6 engine and electrohydraulic system work in sync to help you move loads of material without burning excessive fuel.
  • Robotically welded booms and sticks ensure structural integrity. Reinforced front structures help extend machine life in demanding terrain.
  • Choose between two robust undercarriage options: Medium 4.25 m (13’11”) or Long 4.45 m (14’7”), both built to withstand demanding conditions.
  • The 322 features a safe, convenient work platform for routine service and maintenance. Anti-skid plating with countersunk bolts reduces slip and trip hazards, while integrated grips on key areas ensure easy access to the platform and operator station.
  • VisionLink™ wirelessly connects you to your equipment, giving you access to essential information you need to know to run your business. Gain valuable insight into how your machine or fleet is performing. Access data anywhere—desktop, tablet, or mobile device.

Cat 324 Hydraulic Excavator- Built to last

  • The Cat 324 is built to handle high-production workloads with the perfect balance of brute strength and refined control. Machines come with 1.3 m³ Severe Duty Quarry bucket or 1.4 m³ earthmoving bucket.
  • Cat C7.1 engine and advanced electrohydraulic system deliver consistent power and fast load response under pressure. Three available operating modes: Power, Smart, and Eco.
  • Long 4.45 m (14’7”) undercarriage delivers excellent stability and ground contact, supporting versatile, high-productivity performance across a range of demanding applications.
  • Heavy Duty front structures and heavy-duty components help extend machine life in demanding terrain. Built for reliability, with systems tested to perform through long shifts on rugged terrain.
  • Shared Cat components simplify maintenance and help maximize uptime across your fleet. Extended service intervals reduce downtime and help keep maintenance costs low.
  • The optional Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) cab meets ISO 12117-2:2008 requirement. Optional rearview camera enhances visibility behind the machine.

In addition to the new products, the customers were made aware of the upgraded Services Commitment that simplifies equipment ownership, and its Parts Next-Day commitment helps to get the equipment back up and running when the unexpected happens. Customized to meet specific customer needs, equipment coverage, portability and transferability options are available with the Cat CVA.
