India’s construction equipment industry is witnessing robust growth, spurred by rapid infrastructure development, with a projected CAGR of 23.3% from 2021 to 2027. Excavators, especially the 22-ton variant, are in high demand due to the government’s strong focus on infrastructure and road construction. CASE Construction offers a versatile range of excavators tailored to meet diverse construction and earthmoving needs. Leading the lineup is the powerful C Series, featuring the robust CX220C and CX220C LC Crawler Excavators. The 22-ton CX220C is engineered specifically for challenging terrains and demanding tasks, equipped with a reliable FPT Industrial engine that delivers high productivity with minimal fuel consumption—ideal for quarrying and mining applications. Its durable construction, featuring a heavy-duty arm, boom, and reinforced undercarriage, enhances resilience in rugged environments. Additionally, the CASE Intelligent Hydraulic System (CIHS) optimizes machine control, energy efficiency, and fuel conservation across all operational phases.
The CX220C LC is perfect for stone quarrying, roadwork, general construction, and earthworks. Powered by a 6-cylinder, fuel-efficient FPT engine delivering 117 kW (157 hp) and 622 Nm of peak torque at 1800 rpm, it features five energy-saving controls and an ECO mode. This model offers three power modes, 10 auxiliary hydraulic settings, multiple arm lengths (1.9 m, 2.4 m, and 2.9 m), and a 5.7 m boom to suit various project needs. With a bucket force of 152 kN and an arm digging force of 132 kN, the CX220C LC ensures exceptional productivity. A 6.59 m dumping height allows for safe loading into high-bodied dumpers, while a maximum travel speed of 5.6 km/hr and swing speed of 11.5 rpm boost operational efficiency. The excavator also offers bucket capacities of 0.94, 1.0, and 1.1 cu. m to match different materials and applications.
Both models are equipped with CASE Construction’s advanced telematics system, Site Watch, which provides real-time updates on maintenance, tracking, utilization, and security. It alerts owners instantly on fuel consumption, battery status, geo-fencing, engine metrics, and more, ensuring seamless machine management and operational safety.

Additionally, the CASE Intelligent Hydraulic System (CIHS) integrated into our excavators optimizes fuel efficiency and provides precise machine control, enhancing breakout forces, swing speeds, and torque, which results in quicker cycle times and a 5% increase in productivity.
The CASE CX220C LC Crawler Excavator embodies our focus on efficiency and productivity, achieving an impressive 8% fuel efficiency improvement. Built to perform in demanding applications, it is ideal for stone quarries, road construction, general construction, and earthwork. Notably, construction equipment constitutes approximately 14% of the overall project expenditure, estimated at around USD 1.4 trillion, as outlined by the National Infrastructure Pipeline. As a result, we foresee a significant increase in demand for mining, construction, and earthmoving equipment.
