BEML Wins Rs.405 Crore Contract from BMRCL to Develop 7 Metro Trains.
Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) has secured an additional order worth over Rs.405 crore from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to manufacture and supply seven metro trains (42 cars) for Phase 2 (Reach 6) of the Bangalore Metro Rail Project. With this latest contract, the total number of trainsets under BEML’s agreement with BMRCL has increased from 53 (318 cars) to 60 (360 cars). As the largest rolling stock supplier to BMRCL, BEML has played a crucial role in Bangalore’s metro expansion. The new trainsets will feature advanced technology, including an IP-based Passenger Announcement and Passenger Information System (PA/PIS), a Passenger Saloon Surveillance System (PSSS) for real-time station updates and security, an LCD-based Dynamic Route Map, and electrically driven automatic doors synchronized with Platform Screen Doors for enhanced safety and passenger convenience.This additional order is an extension of Contract 5RS-DM, initially awarded to BEML in August 2023 amid intense global competition. The original contract, valued at approximately Rs.3,177 crore, includes the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of trainsets, along with maintenance services for up to 15 years. The project is a key component of Bangalore Metro’s expansion under Phases 2, 2A, and 2B, further solidifying BEML’s leadership in India’s metro manufacturing sector.

GHV Infra Projects Secures Order from GHV India Pvt Ltd.
GHV Infra Projects Limited has secured a work order worth Rs.191 crore from GHV (India) Private Limited for the EPC execution of a Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) system at a 500 MW power plant in Gujarat.
The contract includes design, engineering, supply, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning of the overall mechanical package for the FGD system. Additionally, it covers a three-year comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) contract.

WABAG Wins Rs.360 Crore Water Treatment Contracts from GAIL and IOCL
Va Tech WABAG (WABAG), a leading water technology company, has secured two significant industrial water contracts worth approximately Rs.360 crore.
The company has won a Design, Build, Operate (DBO) contract valued at Rs.340 crore from GAIL (India) Ltd for its integrated petrochemical complex in Pata, Uttar Pradesh. The project includes the construction of a 450 cum/hr Ultrafiltration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO)-based Effluent Recycle Plant, an Evaporator-based Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plant, a new Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the expansion of an existing facility. The Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phase will be completed in 24 months, followed by six months of Operations & Maintenance (O&M). Projects and Development India Limited (PDIL) will oversee the project as the Engineer-in-Charge. The recovered water from the plant will be reused as Cooling Tower Make-Up water, promoting sustainable water management.
Additionally, WABAG has secured a Rs.20 crore repeat O&M contract from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) for the Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant at IOCL’s Panipat Refinery in Haryana. The contract extends WABAG’s O&M services for another three years. WABAG originally designed, built, and commissioned this pioneering Industrial Water Recycle Plant in India’s oil and gas sector in 2006 and has been managing its operations ever since.

The total contract value is Rs.1,480.34 crore (excluding GST), marking a significant milestone in NCC Limited’s infrastructure development portfolio.

Patel Engineering JV Secures Rs.1,090 Crore Irrigation Project in Maharashtra.
Patel Engineering Limited (PEL) recently emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a Rs.1,090.45 crore irrigation project in Maharashtra. The infrastructure company will execute the project in a joint venture, with PEL holding a 20% stake valued at Rs.218.09 crore.
The contract, awarded by the Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation, involves constructing a pipeline distribution network for the Nira Deoghar Right Bank Main Canal from kilometers 87 to 135, along with its distributaries and minors. The project will be carried out in Kalaj village, Phaltan taluka, Satara district.
The scope of work includes excavation, pipe trenching, supply and installation of pipelines, placement of various valves, chambers, and outlets, as well as testing the pipeline system. Additionally, the contract covers a five-year operations, repairs, and maintenance period following project completion.
With a 36-month timeline for completion, this project further strengthens PEL’s infrastructure portfolio. The 75-year-old company has a legacy of delivering over 85 dams, 40 hydroelectric projects, and more than 300 km of tunneling works across India.

Kernex-KEC Consortium Secures LOA for KAVACH Railway Safety Project.
The North Central Railway, Prayagraj, has issued a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to the Kernex-KEC Consortium for the implementation of the KAVACH Train Collision Avoidance System. The project also includes the installation of towers and a 4X48 fibre optic cable (OFC) backbone on the Shuteshwar (Incl) – Dholpur (Incl) section of the North Central Railway.
The total accepted contract value for this project is Rs.85.14 crore (inclusive of 18% GST), with a completion timeline of 500 days from the date of LOA issuance.

BHEL secures Rs.6,700 crore contract from Singareni Collieries for Telangana power project.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has secured a Rs.6,700 crore contract from Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) to develop an 800 MW supercritical thermal power unit in Telangana’s Mancherial district. The project, awarded on an Engineering, Procurement & Construction basis, involves engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, commissioning and design including civil works, BHEL said in a statement. The new unit will be set up adjacent to SCCL’s existing 2×600 MW power plant, which was also executed by BHEL and commissioned in 2016.

NBCC Secures Rs.650 Crore Infrastructure Projects in Uttarakhand and Delhi.
NBCC (India) Ltd. has secured two significant contracts worth Rs.650 crore from the Uttarakhand Investment and Infrastructure Development Board (UIIDB) and the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT).
The first contract, valued at Rs.439 crore, has been awarded by UIIDB for the revitalization and development of key areas in Haridwar, a major pilgrimage destination. The project includes the redevelopment of the Rodi Belwala area, Sati Kund, Har Ki Pauri, Subhash Ghat, and commercial zones near the railway station.
The second contract, worth Rs.219.45 crore, has been awarded by C-DOT for project management consultancy services for a new campus in Mehrauli, New Delhi.

Welspun New Energy Secures Rs.13,500 Crore Green Energy Deal in Odisha.
Welspun New Energy, the green energy arm of Welspun World, has signed a Rs.13,500 crore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Odisha government to develop large-scale renewable energy projects in the state. The agreement was finalized at the Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The investment will fund a 1,200 MW Pumped Hydro Storage project and a 1,000 MW Floating Solar Power project, boosting Odisha’s energy storage capacity and renewable energy integration. The pumped storage system will leverage natural elevation differences to store excess solar and wind energy, ensuring stability during low generation periods.
The initiative aligns with India’s goal of reaching 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 and supports Odisha’s ‘Viksit Odisha 2036’ vision to establish the state as a green energy hub.

Welspun Michigan Engineers Wins Contract to Upgrade Haji Ali Storm Water Pumping Station in Mumbai.
Welspun Michigan Engineers Limited (WMEL), a subsidiary of Welspun Enterprises Limited (WEL), in partnership with Aaradhyaa & Co (WMEL-ANC JV), has secured a Rs.328.12 crore contract from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to upgrade the Haji Ali Storm Water Pumping Station in Mumbai’s G/S Ward. WMEL holds a 75% stake in the joint venture.
The project includes comprehensive mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation upgrades, along with civil repair work. It is set to be completed within 18 months, excluding monsoons, followed by a 15-year operations and maintenance (O&M) phase.
This is one of WMEL’s largest contracts in the pumping station segment and follows its recent contract win in February 2025 for the Mogra Storm Water Pumping Station in Mumbai’s K/W Ward.
