NBCC (India) Limited has been granted a work order by the Srinagar Development Authority for the development of a Satellite Township covering 406 acres at Rakh-e-Gund Akshah, Bemina, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. The project is valued at approximately Rs.15,000 crores.

Vascon Engineers Limited has secured a Rs.331.38 crore contract from the Chief Engineer of the Public Works Regional Department, Konkan Mumbai. The project involves the construction of a medical college for 100 students, a 500-bed hospital, and associated buildings in Sindhudurg.

The contract, awarded on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) lump sum basis, excludes GST and is set to be completed within 30 months from August 12, 2024. Vascon Engineers received the official Letter of Acceptance for the project today.

Gensol Engineering Ltd. a leader in solar power engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, as well as the electric mobility sector, has received a Notification of Award for the design, procurement, erection, testing, and commissioning of a solar plant at Khavda RE Power Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The project, valued at Rs.463 crores, will feature a state-of-the-art fixed tilt module mounting structure along with the remaining balance of system.

The Office of the Executive Engineer, Government of Maharashtra, has awarded Patel Engineering Ltd (PEL) and its joint venture (JV) partner a Rs.317.60 crore contract. The project involves the construction of water lifting arrangements for the first stage of the Jigaon project, including civil, mechanical, and electrical works.

The scope of the contract encompasses the construction of water lifting infrastructure, including approach channels, rising mains, pumping machinery, and switchyards. The project, which is set to be completed within 24 months, will be executed as a joint venture, with PEL holding a 35% share.

This major infrastructure project aims to enhance water management capabilities in the state of Maharashtra and includes all related civil, mechanical, and electrical components.

Power Mech Projects Limited has been awarded a contract valued at Rs.142.50 crore for the “Revival of Phase II (2 x 350 MW)” of Meenakshi Energy Limited, situated in Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh.

BL Kashyap & Sons Limited has bagged a Rs.160 crore order from Suruchi Properties, a subsidiary of Century Real Estate Holdings. BL Kashyap will undertake civil, structural, and allied works for a residential building project in Kodihalli, Bengaluru. The project is slated for completion within 20 months.

Ashoka Buildcon has been announced as the lowest bidder for two significant projects awarded by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), totaling Rs.1,280.8 crore.

The first project entails the design and construction of a creek bridge from Kolshet to Kalher, with a completion deadline of 42 months. Ashoka Buildcon’s bid for this contract is Rs.289.60 crore.

The second project involves the design and construction of a creek bridge from Gaimukh to Payegaon, set to be completed within 36 months. The bid price for this contract is Rs.991.20 crore.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance from SER HQ ELECTRICAL/SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY for a major project. The order involves the “Design, Supply, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of a 132 KV Traction Substation, Sectioning Posts (SPs), and Sub-Sectioning Posts (SSPs) in a 2x25KV System along the Rajkhaswan-Nayagarh-Bolani section of the Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway, aimed at achieving a 3000 MT loading target on an EPC basis.The total cost of the project is Rs.191.53 crore, including applicable taxes.

Adani Power has emerged as the top bidder for the distressed 1,800 megawatt (MW) KSK Mahanadi thermal power project in Chhattisgarh, with a bid of Rs.27,000 crore. This bid ensures a 92% recovery for the lenders involved. The KSK Mahanadi project is currently under insolvency proceedings at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

ITD Cementation India Limited has secured a contract valued at approximately Rs.1,237 crore, including taxes and duties, for the construction of a residential colony in New Delhi. This project marks Phase II of the development and highlights the company’s continued presence in major infrastructure projects in the capital.

DEE Development Engineers Limited has been awarded a purchase order by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) for the supply of prefabricated HRSG piping. The order, which involves the supply of CS, P11, P22, and P92 piping, is intended for a project in Surkhandarya, Uzbekistan. The total tonnage of the order is 682 MT, with a value of Rs.41.72 crore

Texmaco Rail & Engineering has secured orders worth over Rs.243 crores from the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) to install power supply on two routes – the 3rd and 4th lines from Virar to Dahanu, and the new suburban corridor between Panvel and Karjat.

Under the contract, Bright Power – a division of Texmaco and a hyper-specialised engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) division – will be responsible for design, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the ambitious project.

Bright Power will construct two 25KV traction substations and other associated infrastructure for necessary sectioning and sub-sectioning on the lines. This is meant to ensure reliable power supply as well as operational convenience for the new lines.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced that its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business has secured new orders worth up to Rs.5,000 crore in India and abroad. These orders include the establishment of substations and transmission lines, which are crucial components of the interconnected electricity network. The company emphasized that a strengthened grid is essential for accelerating the clean energy transition and ensuring a reliable and resilient power supply.

In India, PT&D has received orders to execute two 765kV Double Circuit Transmission Line packages. These lines are part of the infrastructure needed to evacuate power from the Jaisalmer/Barmer Renewable Energy Zone in Rajasthan to substations in Madhya Pradesh, facilitating further interconnections.

Internationally, PT&D has secured significant projects. In Saudi Arabia, the company will contribute to strengthening the 380kV network in the central region by building a 380kV substation and several 380kV overhead line segments. Additionally, in the United Arab Emirates, PT&D will construct a 220kV substation and three 132kV substations, which will help meet the growing electricity demand in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

RITES has received a letter of intent (LOI) for the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) work on a turnkey basis for the construction of a new government medical college and hospital in Amravati, Maharashtra. The project, awarded by the Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai, includes the establishment of a medical college with a capacity for 100 students and a 430-bed hospital.

The estimated cost of the project, including PMC fees, is Rs.321.30 crore, excluding GST.

Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy has secured a prestigious order for the Engineering, Design, Procurement, Erection, Testing, and Commissioning of a 500 x 2 (1,000 MWhr) standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant in Rajasthan. This project, set to be completed by 2025, is India’s largest battery energy storage project to date and one of the few projects of its scale globally.

In addition to the BESS project, Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy has also secured a 20 MW floating solar project in Karnataka from the same client. This marks the third floating solar project the company is currently executing in India. The total value of the letters of intent (LoIs) for both projects is Rs.328 crore.

GE Power India Limited has been awarded a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) for inspection works on the turbine-generator at GSECL’s Wanakbori Thermal Power Station (TPS). The base order value for this project is Rs.1.75 crore, excluding GST.
