New Cat® CVA Services Commitment features Two-Day Repairs, or the customer gets paid
Strengthening the value of a Cat® Customer Value Agreement (CVA), every CVA will have an opportunity for an upgraded Services Commitment for customers, starting in 2026.
Designed to keep the customer’s business and equipment moving, CVAs that include dealer labor provide a Two-Day Repair commitment on common repairs to get the equipment back to work, or the customer gets paid. Additionally, Parts Next-Day availability with the new Services Commitment includes maintenance, wear and repair parts, available for pickup at the customer’s requested dealer location. “Our new Services Commitment program with a CVA is all about offering the customer hassle-free, peace-of-mind equipment ownership,” says Ebban Clause, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Construction Industries Services Division. “Customers dealing with downtime need to act fast, and they need parts to get the equipment up and running quickly. Our new Services Commitment delivers just that – Two-Day Repairs, Parts Next-Day, or the customer gets paid.”
Simplified ownership: The new Services Commitment simplifies equipment ownership, and its Parts Next-Day commitment helps to get the equipment back up and running when the unexpected happens. Customized to meet specific customer needs, equipment coverage, portability and transferability options are available with the Cat CVA.
CVAs offer 24/7 access to asset insights with equipment health management tools like VisionLink™ and Cat Inspect. As part of the agreement, customers receive expert support from their local Cat dealer. Genuine Cat parts and fluids are available for scheduled planned maintenance at the customer’s desired location at the right time.
Global rollout of CVAs with the new Services Commitment begins in the first quarter of 2026 and continues throughout the year and into 2027. It is subject to regional availability. Contact a Cat dealer for availability, major repairs commitment, and terms and conditions of the new Services Commitment coverage.
Eicher Trucks & Buses marks National Energy Conservation Day, accelerates efforts towards Energy Efficient Manufacturing and Mobility.
Eicher Trucks & Buses, a business unit of Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV), marked National Energy Conservation Day by reaffirming its strategy to build an energy-efficient mobility ecosystem that encompasses operational efficiency, fleet productivity, and smart manufacturing. The company’s focus remains on integrating energy efficient technologies, expanding renewables, and enabling Eicher customers to achieve more while using less energy.
A significant enabler of this journey is Eicher’s Industry 4.0-enabled Bhopal plant, designed with digital intelligence to deliver responsible and resource-efficient manufacturing. The facility features a 52-million-litre water body, that provides water for the paint shop. Recycled and purified water is fed back to the lake underscoring Eicher’s commitment to circular resource management. The quality of recycling has ensured that the water body is now home to fish and a stop for migratory birds in the region.
Energy efficiency is also ensured through LED-based lighting across all facilities—replacing nearly 5,000 conventional fixtures—and intelligent systems that include IoT-led energy monitoring and VFD-enabled motor control. As part of its long-term sustainability roadmap, VECV is advancing toward 70% renewable energy usage by FY27 and aims to become Water Positive by 2030.
On-road efficiency is powered by Eicher’s connected ecosystem, with over 3,87,000 vehicles using MyEicher’s predictive insights to optimise utilization, reduce idling, and improve fuel economy. Strengthening this transition, Eicher already operates a growing fleet of alternate-fuel commercial vehicles—including CNG, LNG, and Electric variants—deployed across multiple states.
Under a “Pro-Profit, Pro Planet” approach, Eicher’s sustainability efforts extend beyond energy and mobility to include waste minimization, plantation drives, emission control, and Zero Waste to Landfill initiatives. These programmes are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 6, 7, 12, and 13, and reinforce Eicher Trucks and Buses commitment to responsible business.
As India progresses in its Amrit Kaal, Eicher remains committed to modernizing commercial transportation in an environmentally, socially and economically responsible manner by reducing energy at source, optimising it in use, thereby enabling efficient, scalable and sustainable logistics and people movement.
