VECV surpasses 1 lakh annual commercial vehicle sales milestone in FY26, records highest-ever production and deliveries
VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, today announced that it has sold over 100,000 vehicles in FY 2025–26—its highest-ever annual sales. This achievement reflects the realization of a key vision set at the inception of the Volvo–Eicher joint venture and reinforces its strong growth momentum in the Indian commercial vehicle industry.
VECV’s strong performance was driven by strong demand across segments, with Light & Medium Duty (LMD) trucks contributing 47,789 units (46.1%), Heavy Duty (HD) trucks accounting for 26,867 units (25.9%), and the bus segment contributing 19,363 units (18.7%).
This milestone has been achieved on the back of VECV’s wide product portfolio, delivering solutions across diverse applications, combined with a sharp focus on best-in-class fuel efficiency, superior uptime and customer centricity. This achievement also reflects the strength of the partnership of Volvo Group and Eicher Motors. Since the JV’s inception in 2008, it has played a transformative role in redefining benchmarks across the commercial vehicle ecosystem by combining Volvo Group’s global leadership in advanced technology with Eicher Motors’ deep understanding of Indian market dynamics. Building on these strengths, VECV continues to drive the modernization of commercial transportation with its future-ready, sustainable solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and fleet performance.

Tata Motors announces price increase for commercial vehicles from April 2026
Tata Motors today announced a price increase of up to 1.5% across its commercial vehicle range, effective 1 April 2026. The price increase is being undertaken to partially offset the impact of rising commodity prices and other input costs. The increase will vary depending on the model and variant.

ACE – Action Construction Equipment Ltd., the world’s largest Pick-and-Carry crane manufacturer and India’s leading material handling and construction equipment company, has entered into a strategic joint venture with Kato Works Co., Ltd., Japan, a globally recognised material handling & construction equipment company with decades of experience in design, development and manufacturing of Mobile Cranes, Excavators and related Construction Machinery.
The joint venture ‘ACE KATO Pvt. Ltd.’ will bring together the global technology, design and engineering expertise of Kato Works Co., Ltd. with Action Construction Equipment Limited’s strong manufacturing base, extensive market reach and operational capabilities in India.
The collaboration aims to enhance product competitiveness by improving performance and cost efficiency, while enabling both companies to address emerging growth opportunities across domestic and international markets.
The initiative aligns with India’s broader manufacturing ambitions under Make in India, while contributing to the development of a globally competitive construction equipment industry that supports the country’s long-term infrastructure and economic growth.
The joint venture will involve a total investment of approx. Rs.200 crore, with an equal 50:50 partnership. The manufacturing facility will be established in Haryana, with operations expected to commence in 2026.
Under this partnership, the joint venture will focus on the manufacturing of high capacity & heavy cranes, including Truck cranes, Crawler cranes and Rough Terrain cranes, serving the Indian market as well as international markets.
