Crafting the REAL Transformation Story…
The year 2024 literally started with a BANG for the Construction & Infrastructure fraternity and notably so… we were witness to the inauguration of some of the highly anticipated infrastructural landmarks in the history of the country, be it the launch of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham or the launch of Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) also known as ‘Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu’. This bridge is not only the longest sea bridge in India but also ranks 12th longest globally.
As far as the construction prowess goes, the metropolitan commissioner of MMRDA, Sanjay Mukherjee, said, “The steel used for the construction of this bridge is 17 times that of the Eiffel Tower. The structural steel used is four times that of the Howrah Bridge. The concrete used in the construction of this major sea link is also six times that of the Statue of Liberty (in the US).”
This is not all… the share market is also not behind in creating records after records and one of major firecracker sectoral stocks in the last few days have notably been real estate and infrastructure stocks. All these factors only signify GROWTH, GROWTH and Sustained GROWTH for the next decade or so. The foreign institutional investors have been gung-ho about India’s latent potential, and all are betting big on the India Growth Story to Unfold!
The real beneficiary of this SAGA is going to be construction companies who are leaving no stone unturned to turn the tide in their favour. Be it the selection of the right materials, right technologies or the timely execution of projects, they are on the right track to create inspirational infrastructural benchmarks for the decades to come. This growth extravaganza has been ably supported by the policy initiatives of election-bound Central Government, which has set the ball rolling for such an impressive growth in the past few years.
With many more such exceptional landmarks yet to be created in the next few months, this interesting CHASE looks promising for the allied industries to support such an incredible growth momentum.
