Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has bagged a significant contract from the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) to serve as the “Project Execution Agency” for the execution of Balance Civil & HM works of the Barrage Complex, including a part of the Head Race Tunnel (HRT) package for the Rammam Hydro Electric Project Stage-III (3×40 MW).The value of this contract is Rs.495,14,16,130.68 excluding GST at a rate of 18%. The Rammam Hydro Electric Project Stage-III, with its planned capacity of 3×40 MW, is a key component of India’s renewable energy portfolio.

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) hydrocarbon vertical has been awarded a contract by the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for the Daman Upside Development Project-Wellhead Platforms and Pipelines (DUDP-WP) off India’s west coast. Valued between Rs.2,500 and Rs.5,000 crore, the contract involves the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of four wellhead platforms, a 140-km pipeline, and associated topside modifications at the Tapti Daman block in the Western offshore region.

Bondada Engineering Limited (BEL) has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from NLC India Limited (NLCIL) for the Balance of System (BOS) work associated with the establishment of a 600MW Grid Connected Solar Power Project. The project, located at Khavda, Gujarat, includes operation and maintenance (O&M) responsibilities for three years post SCOD (Scheduled Commercial Operation Date).

The contract value amounts to a Rs.939 crore inclusive of GST. The project at Khavda is poised to significantly contribute to India’s renewable energy goals and marks a significant milestone in BEL’s portfolio within the renewable energy sector.

Dredging Corporation of India Ltd (DCIL) bagged a new work order worth Rs.2,015.9 crore. The company has secured a contract from the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority (SMPA) for maintenance dredging in the Hooghly Estuary. This project will primarily focus on the shipping channel leading to Haldia Dock. The contract spans a duration of five years, ensuring long-term engagement for DCIL in this significant infrastructure project.

RVNL – Siemens consortium has received Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd for engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 33 KV distribution, 750V DC third rail traction electrification including traction substations, auxiliary substations and SCADA system for Phase-2A & Phase 2 B.” The project, valued at Rs.394.2 crore, is scheduled to be completed within 130 weeks, with Siemens Ltd holding a 70% share and RVNL owning the remaining 30%.

In another significant development, RVNL emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a project worth Rs.138.45 crore from Central Railway for ‘OHE modification work for Up-gradation of existing 1 x 25 kV Electric Traction System to 2 x 25 kV AT Feeding System in Amla-Nagpur Section in Nagpur division of Central Railway to meet 3000 MT loading target.’” This order is expected to be completed within 24 months.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged a major contract from Mirzapur Thermal Energy (UP) Private Limited for the construction of a 2×800 MW thermal power project at Mirzapur Phase I, Uttar Pradesh. The contract agreements entail the supply of equipment (including boiler, turbine, and generator) and the supervision of erection & commissioning for the power project based on Supercritical Technology at Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.

Under the terms of the agreement, the boiler and turbine generator will be manufactured at BHEL’s plants in Trichy and Haridwar, respectively. The contract’s total value exceeds Rs.3500 crore, excluding GST.

Markolines Pavement Technologies Limited has bagged a series of work orders amounting to Rs.72 crore from a range of clients, both existing and new. Among these clients are notable entities such as NHAI, Cube HighwaysJMTPL/KHEPL, BNC Palasiddha Infra Private Limited, and Rajmata Jijayu Road Nirmiti Private Limited.

The scope of work encompasses diverse tasks, including the construction of new tunnels, improvement and strengthening of existing lanes, PQR repairs, micro surfacing, and road maintenance. These projects are set to span from May 2024 to November 2025, reflecting a substantial duration of activity.

Delton Cables bagged a Rs.177.83 crore order from top EPC companies under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) for the supply of power cables. This domestic contract is set to be executed over a two-year period.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) from Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited for the Implementation of SCADA and DMS/OMS works in Gurugram Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in DHBVN. The project is estimated to cost Rs.124.36 crore including applicable taxes.

BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has bagged three orders across different zones of Indian Railways. The company has inked an agreement for the execution of 25 KV Electrification work over Firozpur Division of Northern Railway, valued at Rs.5.3.crore. This project is anticipated to be completed over a span of 9 months.

Additionally, orders have been received for the execution of Traction Substation work at Barasat under Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway, amounting to Rs.2.4. crore This project is expected to be executed over a period of 12 months.

Furthermore, another order has been secured for providing and laying concrete for foundation work in connection with the Araria-Galgalia RE Project of N. F. Railway under Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, valued at Rs.47 lac. This project is slated to be completed within 30 days.

NBCC Ltd has bagged new work orders worth Rs.878.17 crore. NBCC has secured a Rs.700-crore order from Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) for the development of 17.4 acres of land in Kakkanad, Ernakulam district, Kochi, and Coine ‘Bliss City’. Additionally, NBCC has received a Rs.99.84 crore order from Oil India Ltd for the construction of a centralised core repository with advanced laboratory facilities in Guwahati, Assam. The company has been awarded a Rs.69.71-crore contract from Hindu College, University of Delhi, for the construction of a boy’s college. Adding to its list of accomplishments, NBCC has also secured an Rs.8.62-crore order for the construction of an office-cum-training institute for the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) in Hyderabad.

Roadway Solutions India Infra Limited (RSIIL), a demerged entity from Roadway Solutions India Private Limited (RSIPL), has secured two significant infrastructure projects from the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) amounting to Rs.4,900 crore. One of the projects entails the construction of the Access Controlled Pune Ring Road in Pune district, stretching from Village Lonikand to Village Walti in Maharashtra on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis. This project holds a value of Rs.2,251 crore.

The second project involves the construction of the Access Controlled Expressway Connector to Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg from Jalna to Nanded in Maharashtra.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited secured a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Eastern Railway for an order worth approximately Rs.391 crore for the construction of the Sitarampur bypass line under the Asansol division of Eastern Railway.” Under the contract terms, RVNL will be responsible for constructing the Sitarampur bypass line.

GPT Infraprojects bagged an order valued at Rs.547 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL).

The project involves the construction of a six-lane elevated Kona expressway in West Bengal under the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode.As per the terms of the order, GPT Infraprojects will undertake various responsibilities, including the construction of the viaduct portion of the elevated corridor, road over bridges (ROBs), culverts, NHAI office building, and other miscellaneous works, excluding specific tasks such as the design, supply, fabrication, and launching of steel bridge spans.

Gensol Engineering Ltd has secured the bid for a significant 250 MW/500 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) valued at Rs.1,340 crore.

The project aims to provide electricity on-demand to Gujarat’s DISCOMs during peak and off-peak hours, enhancing renewable energy availability beyond solar hours and bolstering grid resilience.

It involves delivering 250 MW/500 MWh energy through two charge/discharge cycles daily. Additionally, there is a provision for a second tranche of 250 MW/500 MWh under a greenshoe option, potentially expanding the project to 500 MW/1000 MWh, with an expected total revenue of Rs.2,680 crore over the 12-year Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) tenure.

NBCC secured 13 construction orders totaling Rs.491 crore. Among the notable orders, NBCC has been tasked with building a multifacility healthcare complex in Antop Hill, Mumbai, for the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), valued at Rs.112 crore. Additionally, NBCC received an order from the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities to construct an integrated infrastructure complex in Bargarh district, Odisha, for Rs.73.27 crore. Another significant order from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) involves building residences at MEA’s plot in INA, New Delhi, worth Rs.130 crore.

Asian Energy Services Limited’s (AESL) partnership with Indwell secured a contract worth Rs.148 crore from The Singareni Collieries Company Limited for the design, supply, erection, commissioning, and trial run of a coal evacuation system at the PKOCP, Manuguru area.
