Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has bagged a significant contract from the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) to serve as the “Project Execution Agency” for the execution of Balance Civil & HM works of the Barrage Complex, including a part of the Head Race Tunnel (HRT) package for the Rammam Hydro Electric Project Stage-III (3×40 MW).The value of this contract is Rs.495,14,16,130.68 excluding GST at a rate of 18%. The Rammam Hydro Electric Project Stage-III, with its planned capacity of 3×40 MW, is a key component of India’s renewable energy portfolio.

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) hydrocarbon vertical has been awarded a contract by the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for the Daman Upside Development Project-Wellhead Platforms and Pipelines (DUDP-WP) off India’s west coast. Valued between Rs.2,500 and Rs.5,000 crore, the contract involves the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of four wellhead platforms, a 140-km pipeline, and associated topside modifications at the Tapti Daman block in the Western offshore region.

Bondada Engineering Ltd Awarded LOA from NLC India Ltd
Bondada Engineering Limited (BEL) has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from NLC India Limited (NLCIL) for the Balance of System (BOS) work associated with the establishment of a 600MW Grid Connected Solar Power Project. The project, located at Khavda, Gujarat, includes operation and maintenance (O&M) responsibilities for three years post SCOD (Scheduled Commercial Operation Date).
The contract value amounts to a Rs.939 crore inclusive of GST. The project at Khavda is poised to significantly contribute to India’s renewable energy goals and marks a significant milestone in BEL’s portfolio within the renewable energy sector.

Dredging Corporation of India Ltd (DCIL) bagged a new work order worth Rs.2,015.9 crore. The company has secured a contract from the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority (SMPA) for maintenance dredging in the Hooghly Estuary. This project will primarily focus on the shipping channel leading to Haldia Dock. The contract spans a duration of five years, ensuring long-term engagement for DCIL in this significant infrastructure project.

RVNL Order wins multiple orders worth Rs.532 crore
RVNL – Siemens consortium has received Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd for engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 33 KV distribution, 750V DC third rail traction electrification including traction substations, auxiliary substations and SCADA system for Phase-2A & Phase 2 B.” The project, valued at Rs.394.2 crore, is scheduled to be completed within 130 weeks, with Siemens Ltd holding a 70% share and RVNL owning the remaining 30%.
In another significant development, RVNL emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a project worth Rs.138.45 crore from Central Railway for ‘OHE modification work for Up-gradation of existing 1 x 25 kV Electric Traction System to 2 x 25 kV AT Feeding System in Amla-Nagpur Section in Nagpur division of Central Railway to meet 3000 MT loading target.’” This order is expected to be completed within 24 months.

HEL Secures Order from Mirzapur Thermal Energy UP Pvt Ltd
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged a major contract from Mirzapur Thermal Energy (UP) Private Limited for the construction of a 2×800 MW thermal power project at Mirzapur Phase I, Uttar Pradesh. The contract agreements entail the supply of equipment (including boiler, turbine, and generator) and the supervision of erection & commissioning for the power project based on Supercritical Technology at Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.
Under the terms of the agreement, the boiler and turbine generator will be manufactured at BHEL’s plants in Trichy and Haridwar, respectively. The contract’s total value exceeds Rs.3500 crore, excluding GST.

BCPL Railway Infra secures multiple orders
BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has bagged three orders across different zones of Indian Railways. The company has inked an agreement for the execution of 25 KV Electrification work over Firozpur Division of Northern Railway, valued at Rs.5.3.crore. This project is anticipated to be completed over a span of 9 months.
Additionally, orders have been received for the execution of Traction Substation work at Barasat under Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway, amounting to Rs.2.4. crore This project is expected to be executed over a period of 12 months.
Furthermore, another order has been secured for providing and laying concrete for foundation work in connection with the Araria-Galgalia RE Project of N. F. Railway under Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, valued at Rs.47 lac. This project is slated to be completed within 30 days.

NBCC bags new orders worth Rs.878.17 Crore
NBCC Ltd has bagged new work orders worth Rs.878.17 crore. NBCC has secured a Rs.700-crore order from Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) for the development of 17.4 acres of land in Kakkanad, Ernakulam district, Kochi, and Coine ‘Bliss City’. Additionally, NBCC has received a Rs.99.84 crore order from Oil India Ltd for the construction of a centralised core repository with advanced laboratory facilities in Guwahati, Assam. The company has been awarded a Rs.69.71-crore contract from Hindu College, University of Delhi, for the construction of a boy’s college. Adding to its list of accomplishments, NBCC has also secured an Rs.8.62-crore order for the construction of an office-cum-training institute for the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) in Hyderabad.

This project holds a value of Rs.2,251 crore.
The second project involves the construction of the Access Controlled Expressway Connector to Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg from Jalna to Nanded in Maharashtra.

Gensol Engineering Ltd has secured the bid for a significant 250 MW/500 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) valued at Rs.1,340 crore.
The project aims to provide electricity on-demand to Gujarat’s DISCOMs during peak and off-peak hours, enhancing renewable energy availability beyond solar hours and bolstering grid resilience.
It involves delivering 250 MW/500 MWh energy through two charge/discharge cycles daily. Additionally, there is a provision for a second tranche of 250 MW/500 MWh under a greenshoe option, potentially expanding the project to 500 MW/1000 MWh, with an expected total revenue of Rs.2,680 crore over the 12-year Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) tenure.
