The contract pertains to the Transfer of Operate and Transfer (TOT) bundle TOT-13, encompassing the Gwalior-Jhansi section on NH-44 and the Kota Bypass on NH 76 projects.

After a competitive bidding process, the Trust emerged as the preferred bidder for the revenue-linked concession, securing a tenure of 20 years for the project. A subsidiary of Genus Power Infrastructures (GPIL) has received a letter of award (LoA) for a contract worth Rs.1,026.31 crore. The company has been appointed as an advanced metering infrastructure service provider (AMISPs). As an AMISP, the company will undertake work such as designing of advance metering infrastructure (AMI) systems, along with supplying, installing and commissioning with FMS of about a million smart prepaid metres, system meters, including DT meters with corresponding energy accounting. The contract is to be carried out on design, build, finance, own, operate and transfer (DBFOOT) basis.
