Contract Awarded March 2026

Vikran Engineering Limited (VEL), one of India’s emerging multi-sector EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies, today announced that it has received two major Letters of Award (LoA) aggregating to Rs.530.80 Crore (excluding GST) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Limited (MSEDCL), a Government of Maharashtra Undertaking, for the Development of Distribution Infrastructure & System Strengthening works across Nashik Zone and Kolhapur Zone in the state of Maharashtra. Both LoAs were issued under the Power Distribution Enhancement Program funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), awarded through National Competitive Bidding. The Nashik Zone contract is valued at Rs.235.63 Crore and the Kolhapur Zone contract at Rs.295.17 Crore, both excluding GST.

The work under both contracts, entails execution of the project on a turnkey basis, covering end-to- end activities including site survey, planning, design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, supply, transportation, installation, commissioning, and documentation of all items and materials (including civil works). Key deliverables include new 33/11 kV, 22/11 kV and 33/22 kV Substations, new 33 kV, 22 kV and 11 kV transmission lines, augmentation of power transformers and sub-stations, renovation works, distribution transformers, LT lines, HT/LT underground cabling, and GIS Mapping and Asset Tagging. Each contract is scheduled to be completed within a 21-month timeline from the date of the respective Letter of Award.


Artson Ltd has secured an order worth Rs.42.22 crore (including taxes) from Anuppur Thermal Energy (MP) Pvt. Ltd.

The contract covers the supply, fabrication, testing, painting, packing and forwarding, loading, transportation, and transit insurance of prefabricated steel structures for the CHP on a DAP site basis.


Ceigall Infra Projects Private Limited (CIPPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Ceigall India Limited(‘CIL’), has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the construction of a 6-lane access-controlled spur road in Punjab. The awarded project involves developing a 10.300 km stretch starting from Ch. 15+100 of the Ambala– Chandigarh section of NH-205A and terminating at Ch. 2+500 of the Zirakpur Bypass, under the NH(O) in the state of Punjab. The contract will be executed on the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). Valued at Rs.603 crore (Bid Cost), the project includes an 18-month construction period, followed by a 15-year Operation & Maintenance (O&M) period.


Hindustan Construction Company Limited secured a significant infrastructure contract valued at approximately Rs.1,662.27 crore from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), for the construction of Goregaon–Mulund Link Road (GMLR) Phase IV. The project has been awarded to the Aakshya-HCC Joint Venture, in which HCC holds a 49% stake.

The scope of work under the contract includes construction of a second-level flyover and free-left movements at grade in Phase I. The total length of the flyover is 1,330 metres, while the at-grade road length is 3,200 metres and the free-left at-grade length is 2,620 metres.

Phase II involves construction of a cloverleaf interchange and free-left bypasses at grade, with a total cloverleaf loop and interchange length of 2,400 metres and free-left bypasses at-grade extending to 3,600 metres. The scope also includes an obligatory cable-stayed span of 180 metres and ramps with a total length of 270 metres. The project is part of the Goregaon–Mulund Link Road corridor being developed by BMC to improve east–west connectivity in Mumbai.


Concord Control Systems Limited, India’s leading manufacturer of embedded electronic systems and critical electronic solutions company, through its wholly owned subsidiary Advanced Rail Controls Private Limited, has secured a significant order worth Rs.84.68 crore from Indian Railways. The contract entails the supply, installation, and commissioning of Loco Wireless Control Systems, a critical technology aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and remote control capabilities in railway operations. The project is expected to be executed within a period of 18 months.


VA TECH WABAG (‘WABAG’), a leading pure-play water technology Indian multinational group, has secured a Letter of Award (‘LoA’) from the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (‘CMWSSB’) for the Refurbishment, Finance, Operate, Maintain and Transfer (‘RFOMT’) of a 45 Million Litres per Day (‘MLD’) Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (‘TTRO’) Plant at Kodungaiyur, Chennai, to be executed under the Public-Private Partnership (‘PPP’) mode. The TTRO plant at Kodungaiyur, along with its associated distribution pipeline network, was originally developed by CMWSSB in 2019 to supply high-quality treated wastewater to industries located in the Manali–Ennore and Manali–Minjur industrial corridors in Chennai. Under the contract, WABAG will undertake the refurbishment and upgradation of the existing TTRO facility to restore its full treatment capacity of 45 MLD within a period of 18 months. Following the refurbishment phase, WABAG will operate and maintain the facility for a period of 18.5 years, ensuring reliable supply of treated water that meets the stipulated quantity and quality standards under the agreement.


Dorjilung Hydro Power Limited (DHPL) [JV between Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC), Bhutan & Tata Power Company Limited (TPCL), India] has issued the LOA to a Mumbai based infrastructure company, Patel Engineering Limited for Rs.230.70 crore (excluding taxes) contract for Package I: Pre-Construction Works of the prestigious 1,125 MW Dorjilung Hydroelectric Power Project in Bhutan.

Under Package I, PEL will execute the civil and hydromechanical works for the Dorjilung Hydroelectric Power Project. The scope includes construction of two diversion tunnels of 11.0 m diameter with lengths of 930 m and 821 m, an intermediate adit of 7 m finished diameter and 116 m length, and a highway road tunnel of D-shaped cross section measuring 11 m × 7.5 m and 500 m in length. Additionally, the package covers hydromechanical works comprising four sets of vertical lift fixed wheel gates.

The construction period is set at 300 days, with a Defects Notification Period of one year. The project site is strategically located about 7 km from Autsho town in Mongar Dzongkhag, Bhutan, making it a critical infrastructure development in the region.


AB Infrabuild has received a letter of acceptance for a road over bridge (ROB) project under the Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railways, the company said in a regulatory filing recently. The project involves constructing a bridge at railway kilometre 662/9-11, replacing an existing level crossing between Baruva and Mandasa stations on the main line. The total contract value is Rs.42.68 crore, and AB Infrabuild expects to complete the work within 24 months.


VA TECH WABAG, a leading pure-play Multinational Water Technology Group, has secured a consortium award of a ‘Large’ order from United Water Supply Company of Georgia LLC (‘UWSCG’) for the construction of a 19 Million Litres Per Day (MLD) Wastewater Treatment Plant (‘WWTP’) in Georgia. Funded by the European Investment Bank (‘EIB’), the project involves the development of a state-of-the-art wastewater and sludge treatment facility at Kutaisi, the third-largest city in Georgia. The 19 MLD WWTP is designed for future expansion up to a capacity of 56 MLD.

The Engineering, Procurement & Construction scope of the project includes demolition of the existing plant, construction of the new WWTP, and installation of an effluent pipeline to the river. As the Consortium Leader, WABAG will undertake design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of the treatment systems, along with training of client personnel and supervision of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) for a period of 12 months.


Southern Railway has awarded a contract worth Rs.39.26 crore for the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 25kV Traction Over Head Equipment (OHE) on the proposed doubling of track between Thiruvananthapuram (Incl.) and Eraniel (Excl.) stations. The contract also includes modifications to the existing OHE in the Thiruvananthapuram division of Southern Railway.


Patel Engineering Limited, a Mumbai-based infrastructure company, has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) for the prestigious Renuka Ji Dam Project (Package-1), valued at Rs.910.08 crores including GST. The project, located at Village Dadahu, Tehsil Renuka, District Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh, is scheduled to be completed within a timeline of 30 months.

 Under this package, Patel Engineering will undertake the construction of three major diversion tunnels, each designed with a diameter of 9.5 meters and extending over lengths ranging from 1.3 to 1.6 kilometers. The works also encompass the creation of inlet and outlet structures for these tunnels, development of approximately 6 kilometers of approach and access roads, and installation of advanced hydro-mechanical systems to regulate water flow. Additionally, the project scope includes comprehensive instrumentation and monitoring systems to ensure long- term operational reliability and safety. 


KNR Constructions Limited has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for a road infrastructure project worth Rs.83.64 crore from Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited in Telangana.

The project involves the widening and strengthening of the pipeline road stretch from Shankarpally Road at MGIT to Manikonda, along with junction development works at NPCI. The total contract value stands at Rs.83,64,72,062.44, excluding GST. The construction period for the project has been set at nine months.
