Your Company’s product offerings in the Airport equipment segment. Any new launches or product up gradations done?

In India we manufacture 3 ton roller to 15 ton rollers for higher productivity and greenfield projects. At Dynapac, we believe in right machine for the right job. By this, we mean that we have compactors for all spectrum of customers with our essential, standard & performance range. Currently, we are having the biggest range of CEV-IV soil compactors in India.

This encompasses our patented advanced technology with energy efficient eccentrics, variety of options like compaction meter, dyn@link, padshell etc to optimize the passes that ensure quality results with fuel efficiency. We focus on customer value designed for higher productivity & low operation cost driven by our vision of “Design to Perform build to last”.

And we are also the first to fully operationalize these changes in our widest range of products and other offerings. CEV stage IV was not new to us. Dynapac’s thinktank and the advanced R&D department were on it since quite long. Again, we are the first to introduce our series of CEV IV compliant soil compactors, tandem rollers & pavers. These machines are all set to raise the bar.

Dynapac Aftermarket focusing to achieve highest uptime by using genuine parts which ensures that your Dynapac product is maintained to factory specifications, minimizing operating costs for all the pavers & compactors through our wide range of dealer network across India. We also have central warehouse located at Pune to support India & nearby countries.

Your strategy to play in a price sensitive market.

We focus on value-based selling where our customers pay us premium on higher productivity & low operation cost. We follow “Design to Perform build to last” concept.

Provide us details of the projects wherein your equipment were used in India, the major challenges faced and how they were overcome.

Dynapac along with AICPL, was able to achieve an impressive world record. The re-carpeting of the 3.5 km runway was done in a record time of 74 days – an all-time best amongst brownfield runways in India. In order to complete the runway in record time, Dynapac’s full fleet of equipment was used. This included Dynapac 9 wheeled CP275 PTR, CC425 Tandem Roller & SD2530CS Paver. During the project, the company also achieved the milestone of laying 4178 metric tons of asphalt using the Dynapac Paver in the front row in just 9 hours.

Major issues/ challenges in modernization of Indian airports.

Air Travel has made a vigorous come-back to India. Due to bulging traffic passengers both the airline and airport industries are expanding India expects a significant increase in both local and international air travel. It is evident that the expanding domestic aviation market in India would require robust infrastructure. Managing Air traffic and airport modernization side by side can be a tedious job.

Your comments on Vision 2040, a document released by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Do you think the goals outlined in it are achievable?

No doubt vision 2040 provides an ample opportunities of employment in both technological and non-technology fields along with the expansion of Airports and building new airports to cater passengers demand. All these advancements in the aviation sector will generate their own revenues to fund further capital investments at the minimal possible opportunity cost. Technology developments like artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, composites, super-alloys, biofuels etc. are changing the face of aviation and the pace of development we are witnessing now, shows the goals are achievable no doubt.
