Dilip Buildcon bags National Highway projects worth Rs.1374 crore

Dilip Buildcon through its wholly owned special purpose vehicle has recently bagged two national highway projects from National Highways Authority of India involving a combined investment of Rs.1,373.60 crore.

The projects included the construction of the Bangalore-Vijayawada Expressway which is to be completed in 2 years with an operation period of 15 years from COD at an investment of Rs.599.50 crore on hybrid annuity model.

The work will also begin for the Bengaluru-Vijayawada Expressway which is expected to be completed in 2 years and commands an operation period of 15 years from COD.

This project entailed an investment of Rs.774.10 crore and has to be executed on the hybrid annuity model.

PNC Infratech Limited bags new projects worth Rs.771.46 crore

PNC Infratech Limited has signed a contract agreement for an EPC project with Haryana Orbital Rail Corporation Limited (HORCL) for a contract value of Rs.771.46 crore.

The order involves, the design and construction of civil works (earthwork, bridges, station buildings, retaining walls and other miscellaneous works) from km 29.68 to 49.70 and from km 55.60 to 61.50 and its connectivity to the Indian Railways network from New Patli to Patli Station and New Patli to Sultanpur Station including modifications/civil works at Sultanpur Station in connection with laying of a New BG Double Railway Line of HORC. The project is to be constructed in 30 months with an order value of Rs.771.46 crore.

Civil engineering and construction giant B L Kashyap & Sons Ltd has secured a new order worth around Rs.238 crore from Embassy Constructions for its Embassy Business Hub – Phase 2 project in Bengaluru.

Systra-led consortium wins Hyderabad Airport Metro consultancy contract

A consortium of engineering firms comprising Systra, RITES and DB Engineering, has been selected as the General Consultants (GC) for the Hyderabad Airport Metro (HAML) project.

The consortium will deploy 18 experts of different railway engineering disciplines, as well as around 70 senior and field engineering personnel during the construction of Airport Metro. Its selection was based on the recommendations of a technical committee, based on capabilities, experience and competence of the five consortia, as per HAML.

The Systra-led consortium obtained the highest technical score and also gave the lowest financial quote, of Rs.98.54 crore, and came out the winner among four other consortia, which participated in the bid.

The 32-km high-speed Airport Express Metro project, which will connect Mindspace junction with Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, is to be developed under Hyderabad Metro’s Phase-II project by HAML.

L&T Construction Wins Significant Orders for its Power Transmission & Distribution Business

The Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) Business of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction has recently secured EPC orders in India and overseas.

Under the umbrella of the Reforms-based Results-linked Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), distribution utilities in the country have taken up various modernization measures to improve operational efficiency and financial sustainability. To significantly reduce the Aggregate Technical & Commercial (AT&C) losses at pan-India level is an important objective of the scheme towards which, the discoms undertake several distribution infrastructure improvements such as segregating feeders, reconductoring, cabling, augmenting line networks and elements, geo- tagging of assets, etc.

The Business has secured orders to develop distribution infrastructure in two discom circles of western Rajasthan.

The Business has also bagged a power supply system order for the second phase of Chennai Metro. The scope includes Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Receiving Substations (RSS), Auxiliary Substations (ASS) and SCADA system for the northern sections of Corridors 3 & 5. The 110kV Gas Insulated Receiving Substations get incoming supply from the Grid and feed power supply to the traction and station requirements. 33kV Auxiliary Substations interconnected through 33kV cable system feed the auxiliary loads of metro stations such as lighting, ventilation, lifts etc. Related Control & Protection systems are also included in the scope.

Further, In the overseas market, the PT&D Business has won an order to supply, construct, test, and commission a 132kV substation in the United Arab Emirates.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Award from Madhya Pradesh Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Co. Ltd. for “Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 11 KV line associated works such as 11 KV line Bifurcation, 11 KV line Interconnection, 11 KV line Conductor augmentation, LT AB Cabling augmentation and conversion of LT Bare conductor to AB cabling in Sagar, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Tikamgarh, Sidhi and Singrauli Circles (Package-12) of MPPKVCL, Jabalpur under Revamped Reforms-Based and ResultsLinked. Distribution Sector Scheme.

L&T Construction Wins Significant Orders for its Buildings & Factories Business

The Buildings & Factories (B&F) Business of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction has recently secured EPC orders in India.

The Business has won an order from a reputed developer to construct residential towers in Thane, Mumbai. The scope of the work includes construction of core and shell works for 5 towers comprising ground, 5 podiums, 54 floors and allied parking areas. The project is to be executed within stringent timelines.

Further, B&F Fast, one of the verticals of the Business, has secured an order from a prestigious client to construct commercial office space in Bengaluru with an approximate built-up area of 16 lakhs sq. ft. The scope of work includes civil works for the composite structure, warm shell finishes to construct 3B+G+15 floors. The project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months. This is testament to the expertise of the business vertical for fast track execution of steel structures with composite steel technology.

The scope of the project entails providing project management Consultancy (PMC) and marketing consultancy services for redevelopment / modernization of Government of India presses at Mayapuri, Rashtrapati Bhawan, (Delhi), Nashik and Kolkata.

IRB Infra bags 158 km-long outer ring road project in Hyderabad for Rs.7,380 crore

IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd has bagged the 158-kilometre Hyderabad outer ring road Toll-Operate-Transfer (TOT) project for Rs.7,380 cr, this project is with a revenue-linked concession period of 30 years.

Under such contracts, an existing road asset is transferred to a private concessionaire for a fixed amount in exchange for tolling rights on the stretch for a certain period. Hyderabad Outer Ring Road (ORR) is an 8-lane expressway encircling Hyderabad Capital City. IRB said a large part of around 124 km of the expressway covers urban nodes like Hi-Tech City, Nanakramguda Financial District, International Airport, IKP Knowledge Park, Hardware Park, Telangana State Police Academy, Singapore Financial District and Game Village. The ORR has well-established connectivity with other important National Highways and State Highways.

Sterling Generators bags Rs.510 crore order

Sterling Generators (SGPL), a Sterling and Wilson Group company, has bagged orders of over ~ Rs.510 crore.

SGPL with its new engine partner Moteurs Baudouin has been gaining ground in the auxiliary power industry by securing multiple orders in the commercial segme nt. Moreover, the company recently won three orders in the data centres segment from large customers, including one in Malaysia and two in India.

L&T-MEIL JV secures Rs.13,200 crore Thane-Borivali tunnel project

The joint venture of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Megha Engineering & Infrastructures (MEIL) has been declared the lowest bidder for the construction of two civil packages for the Thane-Borivali twin tunnel project in Mumbai. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) had issued tenders for civil construction of the project, which is part of the Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR), last year. The project aims to create an east-west corridor for traffic movement, connecting Mulund in the eastern suburbs with Goregaon in the western suburbs, as there is currently no direct connectivity between these areas.

The proposed project will have 10.8 km of twin tunnels and an additional km of approach roads on both ends, with three-lane tunnels connecting Magathane’s Ekta Nagar in Borivali and Tikuji-NiWadi in Thane. The project involves constructing four giant tunnel boring machines (TBMs) at a maximum depth of 23 m below the surface. The tunnels will pass through the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP), which is the only national park in the world located within a metropolitan area. The travel time between Borivali and Thane is currently more than an hour, but the proposed 11.84 km-long tunnel project is expected to reduce the travel time to just around 15 minutes. The project is estimated to cost Rs.13,200 crore and is scheduled to be completed in five years.

HFCL bags Rs.283 crore order from Gujarat Metro

Telecom gear maker HFCL bagged a Rs.282.61 crore contract from Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation to deploy communication systems for Surat Metro Rail Project Phase-1. The company has to deploy the project within 90 weeks from the date of contract. Scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of telecommunication systems for Surat Metro. Under the contract, HFCL has to provide warranty support for 110 weeks for the system that it will deploy.
