Sterlite Power Bags New Orders Worth Rs.1,400 Crore
Sterlite Power, a power transmission developer and solutions provider, has secured multiple new orders worth Rs.1400 crores across its ‘Solutions’ business that caters to Products and specialised EPC.
Sterlite Power’s pioneering upgrade/uprate solutions are designed to tackle the new age challenges of urban evolution, evolving demographics, and expanding renewables, faced by the Indian power ecosystem. The company has secured a major order from Powergrid to upgrade/uprate its 400 kV Jharsuguda/Sundargarh – Rourkela line, part of the larger Eastern Region Expansion Scheme – XXIX, to deploy its state-of-the-art reconductoring solution.
In addition, Sterlite Power would be building 220kV double circuit transmission lines for Serentica Renewables, the renewable energy arm of the Group. The Company will build the transmission corridors that will enable evacuation of renewable energy from the upcoming solar and wind parks in Rajasthan and Karnataka, to the national grid.
In Product manufacturing, the company has bagged major orders for conductors and OPGW (Optical Ground Wire) from eminent customers in the SAARC region. Orders include the prestigious Power Grid Corporation of Bangladesh’s river crossing project from Transrail as well as repeat orders from USA and LATAM region. The company also continues to strengthen its presence in the Nordic region by acquiring new orders from Nordic utilities.
In addition, Sterlite Power has secured significant orders to supply conductors from notable domestic customers like Tata Power, L&T as well as international customers like Henan Pinggao. The company will be supplying for Tata Power’s NRSS XXXVI project, and L&T’s 400KV Wayanad-Kasargode transmission line.
For OPGW, orders were received from L&T for its 765 kV Navasari–Padghe transmission corridor as well as MTCIL (Maharashtra Transmission Communication Infrastructure Ltd) for its 132kV, 220kV and 400kV transmission lines. The business will also execute critical orders for cabling work in India and overseas including supply of cables for Chennai Metro Phase II, Indore, and Bhopal Metro projects.

Sanghvi Movers Limited has received work orders aggregating to Rs.150 Crores from eminent Independent Power Producers (IPP) in the renewable energy sector, for providing crane rental services along with allied services comprising of WTG surface logistics, inter-carting, installation & pre-commissioning of WTGs, development of wind farm and storage yard. Crane services account for approximately 50% of the total contract value and the balance accounts for the aforementioned activities under wind EPC services. These contracts are of 18 months duration starting from Apri l-23 and ending in October-24.

L&T Construction secures Mega order for its Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business
The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has formally awarded the mandate to construct the 135.45 km stretch MAHSR – C3 package which is part of the prestigious Mumbai Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project to L&T’s Heavy Civil Infrastructure business.
The scope for the MAHSR – C3 package includes the construction of viaducts, stations, major river bridges, depots, tunnels, earth structures, stations, and other auxiliary works. The approximately 508 km Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project, also called the MAHSR Bullet Train project, will cover 155.76 kms in the State of Maharashtra, 4.3 kms in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and 348.04 kms in the State of Gujarat with 12 stations along the route. Upon completion, the High-Speed Rail will operate at a speed of 320 Kmph, covering the entire distance in approximately 2 hours with limited stops and in 3 hours with all stops.

This is the first time Indian Railways has awarded a contract of this value to an Indian consortium for design and manufacturing of complete train sets and maintenance for 35 years.

Tata Power receives order worth ~ Rs.1,744 crore to implement Smart metering project in Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited
Tata Power has received Letter of Award ‘LOA’ to implement smart metering project in Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL).
The LOA has been issued in conclusion to the tender floated by CSPDCL for three packages for different areas under the Chhattisgarh Discom. Tata Power participated in package 2 and emerged as a winner. The value of Project awarded to Tata Power is ~Rs.1,744 crore and the project will be spanned over a period of 10 years.
The Project shall include Design, Supply, Installation, Commissioning followed by Operation and Maintenance of smart meters at consumer end and at Distribution Transformers level. The project will be executed under Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and is expected to improve the AT&C losses in the designated area and increase revenue collection for CSPDCL.

Mobility Solutions bags Rs.100 crore contract from Indian Railways
Mobility Solutions Ltd (MSL) has bagged a contract worth Rs.100 crore from Indian Railways for delivering and installing several essential components for the Vande Bharat Express.
A part of the diversified JCBL Group, MSL manufactures a broad spectrum of FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic), glass-reinforced plastic (GRP), sheet metal and a variety of railway interior solutions.
As per the contract, MSL would supply eight pieces of nose cone, 16 rakes of interior panelling with toilets and 16 coaches per rake, the company said.
The entire scope of work includes the development, supply, and installation of FRP interior panels for the roof, side, walls, and partitions, toilet with doors, accessories, roller blinds, and other critical equipment, it said.

Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group and the largest supplier of logistics vehicles to the Indian Army bagged order worth Rs.800 Crores in the Defence Sector. The contracts awarded also include the procurement of the Field Artillery Tractor (FAT 4×4) and the Gun Towing Vehicle (GTV 6×6).
The FAT 4×4 and GTV 6×6 are specialized vehicles employed by the Artillery for towing light and medium guns, respectively.
