in Geneva, Switzerland, that is said to convert construction,
demolition and excavation waste into two sands and three
aggregates for asphalt production. Apart from the waste, up to
95% of the water used during the washing process is also recycled.
Described by the Dunagannon, Northern Ireland-based
manufacturer as a “complete crushing, screening and washing
solution”, and aimed at a throughput of 100 t/hr, the wash plant
consists of an FM 120 2-G Sand Plant, an Aggrescrub 150 Log
Washer complete with pre-screen and a Terex MPS (Minerals
Processing Systems) impact crusher. This section of the wash plant The customer can also feed oversized material directly into
washes, classifies and stockpiles aggregates while recovering two the crusher and is now able to divert thousands of tonnes of
specifications of sand. Any oversized material fed into the system construction, demolition and excavation waste from landfill each
is directed towards the Terex MPS crusher where it is crushed down year. “We have provided a complete end to end wash recycling
to a manageable size before being fed back into the washing solution for the customer,” said Johnston Patterson, product and
system. applications manager at Terex Washing Systems.
YANMAR LAUNCHES SMALL GENERATORS
Yanmar has released a series of enhanced features to models in
its range of YDG Series generators.
The units are powered by Yanmar Stage-5-compliant air-cooled
L-Series engines and are now available for the first time in Europe.
The YDG generator series includes the YDG3700, which offers four
variants with outputs from 3.3 to 3.7 kVA, and the YDG5500 which
also has four variants ranging from 5.1 to 5.8 kVA.
These industrial-grade portable units were previously made in
Japan, but now are being produced in Italy. Yanmar stated that
this should help to improve lead times for customers in Europe,
the Middle East and Africa. Speaking about the introduction,
Carlo Giudici, Sales & Marketing Director at Yanmar Europe, said:
“These upgraded and precision engineered models are brand
new entrants into the European market and are established The generators feature Europe-sourced pollutant-tight and
yet meticulously advanced generators which meet all global waterproof control panel sockets; automatic low oil shutdown

He added that the new generators are especially quiet – with outside pressures; and European-built alternators from NSM.

KOBELCO TARGETS BIG JOBS WITH COMPACT EQUIPMENT
Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe has introduced the SK19 mini excavator,
which it says combines a compact body with a high-output engine for high power
and efficient operation
The SK19, which replaces the previous SK18-1E, has a bigger engine, new hydraulic
system and newly designed working equipment. For example, the Yanmar Stage
V-compliant engine is said to deliver a 38% increase in power output (13.1kW against
9.5kW), 10% increase in bucket digging force (16.7kN) and 26% increase in arm
digging force. Lifting capacity has also been increased. The width of the crawler is 980
mm (38 in) when retracted to enable access to tight passageways, which increases
to just 1,320 mm (52 in) when extended.
The manufacturer added that the compact tail swing provides operating efficiency in
limited spaces, while the boom swing angle is 12% wider than the previous SK18-1E.
“Mini excavators are vital to our overall product line-up, and the introduction of the
SK19 demonstrates how we are developing our mini excavator technology and
machine concepts,” said product manager Wesley Elverding.
