BHEL wins Rs. 2,500 cr orders from NTPC

 

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) said it has bagged two orders of Rs. 2500 crore from NTPC for emission control equipment for thermal power plants. The orders involve supply and installation of flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) systems for 13 coal-based units at 2,600 MW Korba STPS Stage I, II & III in Chhattisgarh and 2,100 MW Ramagundam STPS Stage I & II in Telangana, an official statement said.

 

BHEL’s scope of work includes design, supply and commissioning of wet FGD system along with auxiliaries including limestone and gypsum handling system and wet stack on turnkey basis, it said.

 

BHEL has technology collaborations with Mitsubishi Hitachi  Power Systems (MHPS), Japan, for FGD systems and with HLB Power, Republic of Korea, for Large size Gates and Dampers. BHEL has bagged FGD orders for 54 thermal units from various thermal plants including FGD systems for 40 thermal units of NTPC and its JVs.

Blue Star bags Rs. 253 cr order from Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation

 

Air-conditioning and refrigeration major Blue Star on Tuesday said it has won Rs.  253 crore  order from the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL). “The scope of this order includes design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the air conditioning, tunnel ventilation and environmental control system for nine underground stations and associated tunnels on line 3 corridor of the Mumbai Metro between Mumbai Central and Bandra,” Blue Star said in a regulatory filing.

 

Line 3 of the Mumbai Metro, also known as the Colaba - Bandra-SEEPZ line, is partially funded by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and is the longest continuous underground metro stretch in the country, the company added.

VA Tech Wabag gets Rs. 1,187 cr order from BUIDCO

 

Water treatment firm VA Tech Wabag on Tuesday said it has bagged Rs. 1,187 crore order from Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCO) to develop sewage treatment plants in the state capital. The company secured the order under National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) Scheme to develop sewage treatment plants of 150 million litres per day (MLD) capacity along with sewerage network of over 450 km in the Digha and Kankarbagh zones of Patna, one of the most populous cities on the banks of River Ganga, VA Tech Wabag said in a BSE filing. “With this repeat order in Bihar, Wabag will now be responsible for sewerage infrastructure in four out of the six zones of Patna, thus testifying the trust reposed by NMCG and BUIDCO on Wabag,” VA Tech Wabag Director and Chief Growth Officer Varadarajan S said. “All these projects, on completion, will ensure a cleaner and healthier ecosystem for over 50 per cent of the population of Patna,” he added. Shares of VA Tech Wabag were trading 4.03 per cent higher at Rs. 303.60 apiece on BSE.

Ahluwalia Contracts bags new orders worth Rs. 262.23 cr

 

Ahluwalia Contracts (India) has secured new orders worth Rs. 262.23 crore for the construction of institutional and commercial buildings, including electrical, plumbing and firefighting facilities. While a new order worth Rs. 130 crore is for the construction of Amity University Mohali (Punjab), it bagged a Rs. 132.23-crore contract for other construction work. The company currently is L1 in a project valued about Rs. 874 crore. The total order inflow during FY 2019- 20 stands at Rs. 262.23 crore as on June 30. Shares of the company gained 0.90 per cent at Rs. 334 on the NSE.

BHEL bags Rs. 486 cr order from NPCIL

 

BHEL had earlier secured an order for the same project for erection work of turbine generator (TG) island.  Bharat Heavy Electricals LtdNSE -0.86 % (BHEL) on Sunday said it secured Rs. 486 crore order from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) for erection work of reactor side equipment of 2x1000 MWe (Units 3&4) Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project in Tamil Nadu being set up with Russia.  

 

BHEL had earlier secured an order for the same project for erection work of turbine generator (TG) island. With this, the company has expanded its footprint in the nuclear sector, the company said in a statement. The company is also currently executing turbine generator packages for four units of 700 MWe, 2 units each at Kakrapar and Rawatbhata.

HFCL Purchase Order (“PO”) worth Rs. 2,467 cr from BSNL

 

The company received its purchase order for setting up of the Converged Nationwide IP /MPLS Backbone & Access Network tor Armed Forces under the Network for Spectrum (“NFS”) Programme of the Government of India.

This Project is funded by Department of Telecom (“DOT”), Government of India and BSNL has been appointed as the nodal agency by the DoT for Project execution. As the Project has been funded by the DOT, Government of India, the timely realisation against the said PO is secured the company said in the filing.

KEC International bags Rs. 845 cr orders for railway infrastructure

 

The orders entail a Rs. 580 crore job to construct an elevated viaduct and stations of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System corridor.

 

The two orders mark the company’s entry into the regional rapid transit system and metro sectors in India. The orders entail a Rs. 580 crore job to construct an elevated viaduct and stations of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System corridor, from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation. The other order, worth Rs. 265 crore, is for the construction of a viaduct along with stations for the Phase 1 extension of the Kochi metro rail project, from Kochi Metro Rail Ltd.

JSPL completes order to supply long rails to Indian Railways

 

JSPL executed a Rs. 732-crore order to supply long rails to the Indian Railways on July 29, 2019. As part of this order, the company supplied 1,26,604 tonnes of long rails to Indian Railways ahead of schedule. “Out of this total quantity, JSPL had supplied 97,400 tonnes of long rails on April 22, 2019, four months ahead of schedule,” an official statement said. Earlier in July 2018, JSPL had bagged the first-ever global tender for supply of rails to Indian Railways. The tender attracted bid from eight leading players, which included seven of the leading global manufacturers of rails. In addition to the Indian Railways, JSPL said it is also expecting orders of a minimum volume of 2 lakh tonnes  per annum of 13/26 metre rails from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and IRCON International Limited.

Dilip Buildcon Limited has been declared L-1 bidder for the project involving construction of Kharkai Dam at Icha with all control gates and its allied works including civil, mechanical (with Design of Gates), electrical and SCADA system under SMP in the state of Jharkhand.

 

The Company has been declared L-1 bidder by the Water Resources Department for the project in the state of Jharkhand. The project cost is Rs. 972 cr, and the completion period is 26 months.

Bharat Dynamics bags contract from Indian Navy

 

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has signed a contract worth of Rs. 1,187.82 crore for supply of Heavy Weight Torpedoes - Varunastra - to the Indian Navy. The contract was inked by NP Diwakar, Director (Technical), BDL and Nidhi Chhibber, Joint Secretary & Acquisition Manager (Maritime & Systems), Ministry of Defence, Govt of India in New Delhi. The execution of the contract will be over the next 42 months. The weapon will be manufactured at BDL Visakhapatnam Unit under collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The Heavy Weight Torpedo or the Varunastra is a ship launched, electrically propelled underwater weapon equipped with one of the most advanced automatic and remote controlled guidance systems.

Ahluwalia Contracts surges on securing orders

 

Ahluwalia Contracts (India) rose 3 percent intraday on August 14 after the company secured orders aggregating to Rs. 168 crore. It includes construction of modern flower market for commission agent shops, cold storage facility including water supply, electrical, plumbing & firefighting services and other works at IFC Gazipur. The total order inflow during the FY 2019-20 stands at Rs. 430.23 crore as on June 30, 2019.
