RInfra EPC Secures Order from RVNL


Reliance Infrastructure Limited EPC has received the Letter of Award (LOA) from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for its maiden railway project worth Rs. 774 crore for the construction of third rail line between Jimidipeta and Gotlam on East Coast Railway on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. The 105 km-long line will run in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. The scope of work includes civil, track, electrification, signalling and telecom works of the rail line. The work also includes construction of 13 railway stations and staff quarters.

Shriram EPC wins orders from Jharkhand Govt


Chennai-based Engineering services provider from the Shriram Group, Shriram  has won three orders for Engineering, Procuring and Construction services for the drinking water and sanitation departments of the Jharkhand government, totaling Rs. 292 crore in value of business for the company.  The company in a press release said the work included surveying, design and drawing, and a host of other services such as “Construction of RCC Intake well cum Pump House, supplying and laying Raw Water Rising main, supplying and installation of Centrifugal Pump Motor, VT Pump Motor, Construction of staff quarters and connections to rural houses” to rural towns in the state.  The order will be executed within 3 years, and the company will operate and maintain the installations over 5 years. Commenting on the order, T. Shivaraman, Managing Director & CEO of Shriram EPC Limited, said: “This repeat order wins widen the scale of operations and presence in India and adds to order backlog. We are excited with the traction in the segment and aim to leverage our presence and track record as we pursue opportunities from urbanization taking place across the nation.”

L&T Construction wins contract for building major airport


Infrastructure major Larsen & Tourbo (L&T) declared its construction arm has won a contract for building a major airport. The engineering and construction company, however, did not provide the exact value of the contract; but specified that as per its classification, the mega project is in the range of over?7,000 crore. L&T Construction has secured a mega contract for design and construction of a major airport. The engineering, procurement and construction orders have been secured to execute development works of a major airport,” L&T said in a statement. The company said the scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement and construction of passenger terminal building, a new runway, rehabilitation of a runway, taxiways and aprons, a new elevated eastern cross taxiway, landside roads, utility infrastructure, drainage and modifications for the existing terminal.

NBCC bags redevelopment order


Navratna PSU NBCC, under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), has bagged an order of Rs228cr for the redevelopment of World Health Organisation (WHO) – SEARO building in New Delhi. NBCC has been awarded the work as project management consultant (PMC) for the construction and redevelopment of the building. NBCC will be responsible for the design, construction, and procurement of the project. The WHO-SEARO office in New Delhi acts as the regional office for the organisation in South-East Asia and provides leadership on health matters, articulates evidence based policy options, provides technical support to countries in the region, and monitors health trends.

NBCC has been developing state-of-the-art office buildings like the headquarters of the NIA, CBI and the new headquarter of Central Information Commission (CIC).

L&T bags orders for multi village rural water supply schemes


The water & effluent treatment business of  Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won orders valued ` 23.88 billion. The orders have been secured from the Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam Maryadit for the execution of Satna, Kundatiya and Mohanpura multi village rural water supply schemes on turnkey basis. It is learnt that the projects are funded by the New Development Bank, L&T. Another EPC order has been received from the Tirunelveli Municipal Corporation for providing Underground Sewerage Scheme (UGSS) to additional areas of Tirunelveli Corporation - Phase II. The scope of work includes laying 225 km of sewer pipelines, construction of RCC manholes, pumping stations, lifting stations and providing sewer connections to 55,000 households.

PNC Infra surges after Karnataka order worth Rs. 1,157 CR


According to a BSE filing, constructions engineering company PNC Infratech rose over 3% after bagging an order worth Rs. 1,157cr for a highway project in Karnataka. The company announced the signing of a concession agreement on 16 July 2018 between National Highways Authority of India and Special Purpose Vehicle incorporated for the following Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) NH project, secured recently by the company. Further, the project relates to four laning of Challakere to Hariyur section of NH 150 A and will be constructed in 24 months upon declaration of the appointed date and operated for 15 years, post construction. Until now, the company has secured total seven NH projects on Hybrid Annuity Mode for an aggregate bid project cost of Rs9,548cr. Of these, four are under construction and three are under development. These projects are based in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi etc.

RPP Infra wins order from  Gujrat Sewage Board


RPP Infra Projects announced winning new orders worth Rs. 72.2cr in an exchange filing. The news has sent the stock prices soaring to a high of Rs. 105, a jump of 12% from its previous closing of Rs. 92.35 on the BSE. These orders also pave the way for the infra company’s entry in Gujarat. The first order worth

Rs.40.5cr is from the Gujarat Water Supply & Sewage Board for package 6 of the Samarsingi Cluster. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months. RPP Infra has also received a Letter of intent for an order worth

Rs. 31.7 cr from the Gujarat Water Supply & Sewage Board for package 7 of the Tanachhiya Cluster. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months. These projects will be executed in JV with RPP Infra having a 40% share. The company has been making conscious efforts to widen its geographic footprint in order to expand to new markets as well to reduce dependence on any one state. After continued success in new states like Maharashtra & MP, RPP Infra is excited to grasp new opportunities in Gujarat. These order wins in JV with another company mark RPP Infra Projects’ entry into the state of Gujarat, RPP Infra mentioned in the exchange filing. RPP Infra’s order book at the end of H1FY19 stood at Rs. 1500cr. The company has won new orders worth over Rs380 cr over the last 1 month.

BHEL bags order from Mahagenco for Bhusawal power project


Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), in a press note, informed that it has won an additional order for emission control equipment for Bhusawal 660 MW Supercritical power project from Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (Mahagenco). With this order, the revised order value for the Bhusawal TPS Unit 6 EPC project is now ~ Rs. 3,750cr. The initial order was won by BHEL against stiff International Competitive Bidding (ICB), the company said in a press note.

KEC International bags orders  across business


KEC International, an infrastructure Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) major and a part of RPG Enterprises, has announced securing orders worth Rs. 2,105 crore across various businesses. The company’s transmission and distribution vertical has secured several orders totalling Rs. 1,584 crore in India, Abu Dhabi, Thailand and America. This includes transmission line package contract won from PGCIL subsidiary under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route and orders for construction of transmission lines and AIS substations from Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited (BSPTCL), among other orders. KEC’s railway business has secured an order of Rs. 261 crore for overhead electrification works and associated civil works in Western India. The civil business vertical has bagged Rs. 116 crore worth orders for the expansion of a paint shop from a leading automobile company and construction of clinker production plant from a cement company, while the cables business has bagged orders worth Rs. 144 crore.

PNC Infra Wins Two EPC Packages of Purvanchal Expressway


Delhi-based PNC Infratech Ltd on Monday said that it has bagged two EPC Packages of Lucknow – Ghazipur Six Lane Access Controlled Purvanchal Expressway Project in the state of Uttar Pradesh for an aggregate quoted value of Rs. 2,520 crore.The price bids were opened on Monday, July 9, 2018, with PNC’s bids being the lowest (L1) in two packages. Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) is the proponent for the 341.0 km long Green Field Expressway comprising eight individual packages. Construction of each package is to be completed in 36 months on EPC mode,” the company said in a BSE filing.

BHEL Wins New Order for 660 MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant


India’s leading power plant equipment manufacturer Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) said that it has bagged a major order for setting up a 660 MW supercritical thermal power plant in West Bengal.Valued at approximately ` 3,500 crore, the order for setting up the 1×660 MW Sagardighi Thermal Power Project Extension Unit-5 at Manigram village in Murshidabad district of West Bengal, has been placed on BHEL by West Bengal Power Development Corporation (WBPDCL). BHEL’s scope of work in the project includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the Main Plant Turnkey Package, comprising supercritical boiler and turbine generator along with its auxiliaries, electricals, controls & instrumentation, switchyard, flue gas desulphurization (FGD) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems, coal handling plant and ash handling plant. The supercritical technology based project would significantly contribute to the nation’s quest for clean and eco-friendly power and would cut fuel consumption by employing high efficiency equipment working at higher operating parameters. The project will further limit emissions by utilizing state-of-the-art emission control equipment – FGD and SCR systems to capture pollutants like SOx and NOx, aimed at meeting revised emission norms, notified by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

KITE awards RPP Infra with infra projects


Reports suggest that the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has awarded infrastructure major RPP Infra Projects Ltd infrastructure projects. The orders are worth Rs. 837 million. According to reports, it includes works of modernization of Schools to International Standards as Centers of Excellence ( Rs. 5 crore category ) and Betterment of Infrastructure Facilities ( Rs. 3 crore category ) in 10 Schools in Cluster – 15 & 16. The said work to be completed within 9 months.
