L&T Construction Awarded Large Contracts for its Power Transmission & Distribution Business

The Power Transmission & Distribution business of Larsen & Toubro has bagged a slew of orders both in India and overseas. An order has been secured to provide Dynamic Reactive Power Compensator System at a 220kV Substation in Abu Dhabi. To enhance the grid stability and provide voltage support, specialized equipment such as STATCOMs / SVCs are deployed in substations. The scope of this package includes related protection, Substation Control and Monitoring System (SCMS), 220kV cables and associated civil, mechanical, and electrical works. Further in the Middle East region, the business has won orders to construct 380kV Overhead Transmission Lines, 132kV network connections and to establish a 400kV substation. The business has also bagged an order to build a new 220kV Gas Insulated Substation in Bangladesh. In India, orders have been won to create power distribution infrastructure in two circle areas of Bengaluru. Additional orders have also been received in ongoing substation and transmission line projects.

KEC International wins new orders of Rs.1000 crore

KEC International, an RPG Group infrastructure EPC major, has secured new orders of Rs.1000 crore across its various businesses. In Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business, the company has secured orders for T&D projects in India, Middle East, Africa, and Americas.

Railways business has secured an order for construction of Railway Siding in the conventional segment in India. Whereas, Civil business has secured an order for infra works in the Water Pipeline segment in India.

Oil & Gas Pipelines business has bagged an order for laying of oil and gas pipeline, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Spur Infrastructure. The company’s Cables business has secured orders for various types of cables in India and overseas.

Highlights:

  • The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro has secured a large order for its Buildings & Factories business from the Government of Odisha to construct clinical blocks & allied infrastructure for a state-of-the-art hospital in Cuttack
  • The duration of this EPC project is 30 months.
  • The project involves construction of four clinical blocks (B+G+9 floors) comprising composite structural systems & other ancillary buildings with a total built up area of 3.4 Mn Sqft
  • The state-of-the-art facility will cover specialty departments such as Neurology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Hepatology, Cardiology, Surgical blocks, Casualty, trauma & general surgery with a total of 2058 beds.

Thyssenkrupp bags Rs.1,150-crore contract from NRL for expansion project

Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions India has bagged an EPC order from Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) to execute their 6.0 MMTPA Crude Distillation Unit and Vacuum Distillation Unit with Amine Treating Unit project at their refinery located in Assam, India.

NRL, as part of Numaligarh Refinery Expansion Project (NREP), is expanding its refining capacity from the current 3 MMTPA to 9 MMTPA by installing a new 6 MMTPA capacity CDU/VDU and associated downstream process units, utility & offsite. The scope of EPC work of this project includes Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, & Supply, Inspection & Expediting, Construction Management & Supervision, Mechanical Completion & Pre-commissioning of Plant, Commissioning, Start up, PGTR & Hand over of plant.

Power Mech Projects Ltd receives LOI for orders worth Rs.454.19 crores

Power Mech Projects Ltd has received letters of intent for the following works worth Rs.454.19 Crores.

  • Balance Civil and Architectural Works of the main plant area and various buildings, watch towers, patrol roads & drains outside BTG area of Unit 1 & 2 and Structural Works of Unit-2 at 2x660 MW Udangudi Super Critical Thermal Power Project from BHEL - Rs.342.14 crore.
  • Civil, Structural & Architectural Works (including piling works) for FGD system area of 4 X 210 MW, Stage-I and Common System, Kahalgaon STPP, Bihar from BHEL - Rs.112.05 crore.

Tata Power Solar bags India’s largest Solar and Battery Storage Project worth Rs.945 crore

Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (Tata Power Solar), India’s largest integrated solar company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power, has received Letter of Award from Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) to build 100 MW EPC Solar project along with 120 MWh Utility Scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The total contract value of the project is approximately Rs.945 crore. The project will be executed within 18 months. SECI project sites are located in Chhattisgarh. The order scope includes engineering, design, supply, construction, erection, testing, O&M and commissioning of the projects.

BTL EPC bags Rs.317 crore NTPC order

BTL EPC Ltd has secured the order for setting up of the Coal Handling Plant of PakriBarwadih Coal Mining Project from National Thermal Power Corporation Limited valued at Rs.317 crore.

The order consists of the installation of conveyors of an approximate total length of 2.2 km and a 10000T RCC over-ground bunker. The scope includes design, engineering, supply of mechanical, electrical, civil and structural work for the above. The project site is located at Pakri in Hazaribag district, about 130 km from Ranchi and will be executed in less than 2 years.

BCPL Railway Infra bags new order in Khurda and Sambalpur Division of East Coast Railway the value of the order is Rs.19cr

BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has bagged an order from the East Coast Railway, Electrical, Construction, Bhubaneswar, Head Quarters.

This order has been received for the work of Electrification of 25 KV OHE for new line between Nuagaon to Daspalla in Khurda Division and Bichhupalli to Sonepur in Sambalpur Division of East Coast Railway including Sub-sectioning post, Traction sub-station and PSI work in connection with the new line. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months.

Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd has secured a purchase order worth Rs.170 crore from RITES Limited for Railway Electrification of 25kV OHE works including TSS General Electrification, Civil Engineering works including Tower Wagon Shed, Service Buildings, Staff Quarters, Track works and Signalling and Telecommunication works on existing track of single line section of Udaipur city (Excl.) - Himmatnagar (Excl.) 210 RKM (234.99 TKM) section of Ajmer division of North Western Railway.

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd receives work order from Ircon International Ltd total cost of Rs.210.77 Crore

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has received work order from Ircon International Limited for Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Tunnel communication system consisting of Emergency Call & Service Telephone, CCTV, Tunnel Radio and PA system in Tunnel Environment on Dharam - Banihal section of Jammu Kashmir Rail Link Project under Ferozepur division of Northern Railway at a total cost of Rs.210.77 Crore (Inclusive of GST). The entire work is to be completed in a period of Twelve 12 months.

PNC Infratech stock ends 4% higher after receiving contract worth Rs.369 cr from NHAI

PNC Infratech Limited has announced receipt of Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from National Highways Authority of India.

The contract is for “Collection of User Fee at 135 km long Eastern Peripheral Expressway Fee Plazas (National Highway No. NE II) in the States of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh For One Year” on December 21, 2021, for a contract value of Rs.369 cr (Annual Remittance to be made to NHAI).

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. (‘the Company’) has received work order from Defence R & D Organisation for Expansion and Enhancement of CIAG Network Capacity at a total cost of Rs.68.31 Crore (Inclusive of GST). The entire work is to be completed in a period of Seven (7) months.

Thermax bags Rs.830 crore order for three Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) systems

Thermax Limited has bagged an order of Rs.830 crore from an Indian power private sector company to set up flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) systems for their three units of 660 MW capacity each in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The FGD systems will be installed at their plant to cut down SOx emissions and comply with the air quality standards set for fossil fuel based power plants. The scope of supply includes design, engineering, manufacturing, civil work, construction and commissioning of the FGD systems. The project is slated to be completed in 36 months.

Ashoka Buildcon Ltd emerges L1 bidder for Rs.769.41 crore project

Ashoka Buildcon Limited had submitted Bid to the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (‘MoRTH’) in respect of the Project viz. ‘Request for Proposal for Construction of Six lane link road (NH-166S) with paved shoulder configuration to Mopa Airport in the State of Goa on EPC mode’. (Project)

The Company has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L-1) and the quoted Bid Price of the Project is Rs.769.41 Crore.
