L&T Construction Awarded Contract for its Water Effluent Treatment Business worth Rs.1000 to 2500 crore

The construction arm of L&T has secured a significant order for its Water & Effluent Treatment business in India. The business has won an order from a state-utility organization to implement rural water supply projects providing Functional House Tap Connections (FHTC) under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

The business has been entrusted to implement rural water supply projects to provide potable water to 800 villages. The scope comprises Tube Wells, Pump Houses cum Chlorination Rooms, Overhead Tanks, Treatment Systems, Solar Plants, Rising Main & Distribution Pipeline Network, Staff Quarters, Individual House Connections, etc. including allied Electromechanical & Automation works.

KNR Constructions bags contract worth Rs.313 cr in Telangana

KNR Constructions has bagged a contract  worth Rs.312.79 crore from Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) for widening of existing service roads in Hyderabad, in the state of Telangana. The scope of work is widening of Existing Service roads from Nanakramguda to TSPA and Narsingi to Kollur and BT Overlay of Bitumen pavement from Gachibowli to Shamshabad of Outer Ring Road, Hyderabad, in the state of Telangana.  The  project is to be completed within a period of 15 months from the date of signing of Agreement.

RPP Infra Projects Limited has received a new Project for Engineering, Procurement and Construction Handicraft Centre of Bareilly Haat and Handicraft Centre with 1 year defect Liability under smart city Mission (Bareilly Smart Contract City Limited, Bareilly) and the contract price is Rs.157.67 Crore (Inclusive of GST).

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd has secured contract from Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited for design and construction of elevated viaduct between Ch. 14+488 and Ch. 25+415, viaduct connecting depot leading upto interface location, Nine (9) elevated metro rail stations including all Civil, Structural, Roof Structure, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works, Architectural finishes, Facade, Entry / Exits, FOB, Viaduct within the stations including transition spans for Indore Metro Rail project Yellow Line.

KEC International bags orders worth Rs.1,157 crore across businesses

Engineering, procurement and construction major KEC International  Ltd has bagged orders worth Rs.1,157 crore across its various businesses. In the transmission and distribution segment, the RPG Group company bagged orders worth Rs.663 crore for projects in the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.

In the railways segment, it has orders of Rs.220 crore for 2 x 25 kilovolts (kV) overhead electrification and associated works for speed up-gradation in India. In the civil segment, the business has secured an order of Rs.173 crore for construction of a new airport terminal building and associated works in southern India.

In the cables business, it has secured orders of Rs.101 crore for various types of cables in India and overseas.

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Wins 2 Orders each worth Rs.1000 to 2500 cr

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited (LTHE), a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, has bagged two orders in the Construction Services segment – one each from GAIL India and Air Products Middle East Industrial Gases LLC.
The first order is for GAIL India’s Mumbai–Nagpur Pipeline under which the company will be responsible for laying steel gas pipeline (24” x 224 KM) – Section 1 of Part A and construction of terminals along with associated facilities. The pipeline project, due to be laid alongside the upcoming Mumbai – Nagpur super communication expressway, has a schedule of 14 months.

LTHE’s second order comes from Air Products Middle East Industrial Gases LLC for its Industrial Gas Hub (IGH) Network project at Jubail, KSA. Under the contract, the company will construct steam methane reformer to produce hydrogen, an air separation unit (ASU) to produce oxygen and nitrogen, and hydrogen pressure swing adsorption (PSA) units. The overall duration of the project is 22 months.

The company has won a significant order from Petronet LNG (PLL), a joint venture company promoted by four leading PSUs viz., Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), GAIL (India) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL).

The contract is for EPC and Commissioning of two LNG Storage Tanks with a capacity of 170,000 m3 each for Phase IIIB of the Dahej Expansion Project at Dahej, Gujarat. The Project has been awarded through an international competitive bidding on Lumpsum Turnkey basis. This demonstrates PLL’s trust on LTHE’s capability to deliver the project within a challenging schedule while ensuring excellent safety and quality performance.

BHEL bags Rs.10,800 cr order from NPCIL

State-owned engineering firm BHEL has bagged an order worth Rs.10,800 crore from NPCIL for EPC of Turbine Island for 6 units of 700 MWe. The six orders, received on August 30, 2021, envisage setting up of four units of 700 MWe at Gorakhpur, Haryana, and two units of 700 MWe at Kaiga, Karnataka.

IRB Infrastructure bags Rs.909 crore Tamil Nadu highway project

IRB Infrastructure Developers has emerged as the preferred bidder for the construction of a six lane-highway in Tamil Nadu for Rs.909 crore. The company will build 20.06 between Pondavakkam and Kannigaipair as a part of the upcoming Chittoor-Thachur highways in the state. The project entails 730 days for construction, followed by 15 years of operations and maintenance rights. The project is a part of India’s ambitious ‘Bharatmala Pariyojana,’ which is focused on building highways across the country.

Ashoka Buildcon receives over Rs.1,500 cr EPC order from Adani Road Transport in Bengal

Highways developer Ashoka Buildcon has received Rs.1,567.45-crore EPC contract from Adani Road Transport Ltd for a highway project in West Bengal. Ashoka Buildcon received ‘Letter of Award’ from Adani Road Transport for execution of civil and associated works on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis for six-laning a section of national corridor NH-19 from Pangarh to Palsit in West Bengal.

G R Infraprojects receives NHAI project worth Rs.927 cr in Punjab

G R Infraprojects Ltd received Letter of Award from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The project is for Development of 6-lane Amritsar-Bathinda Greenfield section of NH-7S4A from village Tiba on NE-SA to junction with Moga Jalandhar road (NH-703) near Dharamkot (from km 0+000 to km 39+000) as a part of Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor in the state of Punjab on Hybrid Annuity Mode under Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-I (Package-1). Further, the bid project cost is Rs.927cr and first year O&M cost is Rs.3.87cr. The expected completion period is 730 days from appointed date while Opration period is 15 years from Commercial Operation Date.

Patel Engineering bags new order of Rs.1251 crore Teesta-VI Hydro Electric Project

Patel Engineering, a civil construction Company specializing in the hydropower sector, today announced that it has bagged a Rs.1,251 crore, Lot II Civil Work contract for 500 MW Teesta-VI Hydro Electric Project, Sikkim from Lanco Teesta Hydro Power Limited, a wholly owned Subsidiary of NHPC Ltd. The project is located at South Sikkim District in Sikkim, India. The Package includes balance Civil works for Underground Power House & Transformer Cavern, Part of HRT-I & HRT-II, Surge Shafts, Pressure Shafts & Adits, TRT and other Associated Structures etc. of 500 MW Teesta-VI Hydro Electric Project located near village Subin Khore, South Sikkim, India, which is about 67Kms from Siliguri, the nearest major town.

Tata Projects wins Rs.2,100 cr Chennai Peripheral Ring Road Project phase-1

The contract is for building 26 structure and must be completed in three years

Tata Projects  has secured an order of approximately Rs.2,100 crore for Phase-1 of Chennai Peripheral Ring Road Project (Northern Port Access Road) connecting strategically important Ennore Port with Thatchur on AH-45 on the national highway network.

The contract includes the Link Road to Chennai Outer Ring Road from the Northern Port Access Road. The six-laned project will have a total length of 25.38 km, including a 1.4-km bridge over Buckingham Canal. The contract is targeted for completion in three years. There will be 26 structures in the project, including eight major bridges, eight minor ones, two road-over-bridges, seven vehicle underpasses/vehicle overpasses and one interchange. It will also include 29.38 km of drains and 41.88 km of retaining wall. Once completed, this project will reduce traffic congestion and travel time, while enhancing road safety and operational efficiency of highways. The overall quality of lives of citizens living in nearby communities will improve and economic growth will receive an impetus.
