Gold Mine of Opportunities

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s impromptu visit to the construction site of the new Parliament building, which is expected to be completed in the second half of 2022, right after his US trip, has become the talk of the town and rightfully so. The building is part of the Central Vista project. While it is one of the landmark projects as far as infrastructure is concerned, it also reflects the government’s undeterred emphasis on casting a never-seen-before infra-spell that the country has been waiting for over the decades.

The way there has been a strong thrust on timely completion of critical infrastructure projects and Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari’s inspection visits at some of the prominent infrastructure project sites, only strengthens the belief that we will soon be able to witness a new era of infrastructure in the country. If the latest news is anywhere to go by, the government wants its showpiece infrastructure project in Kashmir, the Zojila tunnel, to be inaugurated before the 2024 general elections, and the Hon’ble Minister has asked the contractor to speed up work by about three years. Knowing that it’s a critical & challenging project, the Minister is confident of delivering it before time, which will only exhibit our infrastructure prowess to the world.

Meanwhile, recently, Nitin Gadkari also took stock of the progress of the 1,380-km-long Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which is being developed at the cost of Rs.98,000 crores, and is said to be the longest expressway in the country. The expressway covers Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat.

With so many happening in this highly dynamic sector, during an address at the 17th Indo-US Economic Summit, organized by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Gadkari stressed, “He sincerely hopes more and more US companies will come and invest in the road and highway projects in India which is the gold mine for all stakeholders.” The way infrastructure projects are shaping up in the country, it sure is the golden opportunity for investors to get onboard and reap the long-term benefits.

Take this crisis as an opportunity and shift your focus on ambitious infrastructure projects that are historic and augur well for an all-encompassing sustainable trajectory for the country going ahead.

The TIME is NOW to push the infrastructure bandwagon and create a niche for yourself!
