Dilip Buildcon receives LOA from NHAI for HAM project in Telangana

Dilip Buildcon Ltd (DBL) has received letter of award (LOA) for a new HAM project viz. ‘Four laning of NH-363 from Repallewada (Design Km 42.000/Existing Km 288.510) to Telangana/Maharashtra Border (Design Km 94.602/Existing Km 342.000) (Design Length = 52.602 Km) in the State of Telangana under NH (O) on Hybrid Annuity mode (HAM).The bid project cost is Rs.1140.50 crore. The completion period for the project is 24 Months and the pperation period will be 15 years from COD.

L&T bags orders across business segments

The construction arm of L&T has bagged orders in the range of Rs.1000-2,500 crore. The Water & Effluent Treatment business of L&T Construction has got a repeat EPC order from Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpsar Department (NWRWS & KD), Government of Gujarat to execute the Tapi–Karjan Pipeline Link Irrigation Scheme.

The project plans to irrigate 16,919 hectares of area in the districts of Tapi and Surat of Gujarat by lifting 14.2 cumec of water from the Ukai reservoir. The scope includes survey, design, procurement, construction and installation of pumping systems, supply and laying of MS pipeline of various diameters and pipeline distribution networks with all allied works.

The Power Transmission & Distribution of L&T Construction has received two more packages from the implementing agencies of Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla Rail Link project to provide Electrical & Mechanical Systems for tunnels. The scope of these packages involves 33kV & 11kV HT power cable network, GIS substations, DG sets, tunnel lighting, ventilation & firefighting systems, and SCADA system.

KEC International receives new orders worth Rs.1033cr on various biz

Global infrastructure EPC major, KEC International, bagged new orders worth Rs.1033cr across a host of businesses.

The company secured an order worth Rs.890cr for T&D projects in India, Africa, East Asia Pacific and the Americas. While an order worth Rs.79 cr for Signaling and Telecommunication (S&T) and Metro Electrification works in India was also received. The company also secured an order worth Rs.64cr for various types of cables/cabling projects in India and overseas.

NCC Limited bags six new orders totaling to Rs.1414 crore

NCC Limited has received six new orders totaling to Rs.1,414 crore (exclusive of GST) in the month of September, 2020. Out of this, four orders of Rs.896 crore pertains to Building Division and balance two orders of Rs.518 crore pertain to Irrigation Division. These orders are received from Central/State government agencies and do not include any internal orders.

Ircon International Ltd secures works for Rs.400 crore

Ircon International Limited has secured works of total 9 Road Over Bridges (ROBs) valuing more than Rs.400 Crore from the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. The work has been awarded by the Ministry of Railways through a competitive bidding among PSUs.

The scope of work is to provide PMC services for Construction of ROBs in lieu of existing Level Crossings. The period of completion is 24 Months from the date of signing of MOU with Zonal Railways. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be executed between the PSU and the concerned zonal Railway.

Surya Roshni Ltd bags orders of Rs.272.86 crore

Surya Roshni Ltd bagged orders aggregating to Rs.272.86 cr. (excluding GST) for supply of Coated API Line Pipes to GAIL (India) Limited & Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) for North-East Gas Grid Pipe Line project.

GAIL (India) Limited has given an order for supply of Coated API Line Pipes (both external & internal) 35,000 meter of Spiral Pipes (24”) for Mumbai-Nagpur - Jharsuguda pipe line project. The order value is Rs.61.57 Cr. (excluding GST).

Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) (a Joint Venture with IOCL, ONGCL, GAIL, OIL & NRL) has given an order for supply of Coated API Line Pipes (both external & internal) 1,30,000 meter of Spiral Pipes (24”) for North-East Gas Grid Line Project. The order value is Rs.211.29 Crore (excluding GST).

Gayatri Projects has been declared as L-1 bidder for a project in joint venture where the Company’s share is 80%. The The contract value is Rs.196 cr and the order is received from State Water & Sanitation Mission (SWSM), Uttar Pradesh. The project is for ‘Construction of Kachonda Kalan Group of Villages Water Supply Scheme, District- Lalitpur (Based on Surface Water) and relevant works including Commissioning and Operation and Maintenance for 10 Years.

L&T Construction bags orders for its metallurgical, material handling business

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) construction arm has received ‘significant’ orders for its metallurgical and material handling business. The orders fall under the ‘significant’ category, which ranges between Rs.1,000 crore and Rs.2,500 crore according to the classification of contracts. Metallurgical and Material Handling Business of L&T Construction has secured an order from Northern Coalfields Ltd, a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd for a coal processing and load out package to be installed at the Dudhichua Mines located in Uttar Pradesh. The scope of work involves EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) for a double stream coal sizing and transportation system covering semi mobile sizing system, high capacity specialty conveyors, and an automated loading system.

IRCON International Ltd secures order worth Rs.1900 crore

IRCON International Ltd has secured Railway Electrification Works for various routes of 2251 Route Kilo meter (RKM) worth approx. Rs.1900 Crore on competitive bidding basis among PSUs from the Ministry of Railways, Government of India.The tenure for execution of the projects varies from 15 to 20 months from the date of signing of Agreement with the Zonal Railways. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be executed between the PSU and the concerned Zonal Railway.

ABM Knowledgeware Ltd has bagged an order for Rs.127.44 Crores (excluding Taxes) for SAP technology modernization. This project involves the technology upgrade of customers’ existing SAP applications to the latest version and S4HANA implementation for all current applications. It also includes the implementation of several new SAP modules and productivity tools. The migration of the entire set-up to cloud infrastructure is also included in the project. RITES Ltd bags Railway Electrification project worth Rs.474.92 crore

Rites secured a major turnkey contract worth nearly Rs.475 cr for Railway Electrification.

The Turnkey contract involves majorly covers sections of Mavli-B.Sadri for 82 RKM, Udaipur City - Himmatnagar for 210 RKM, Bhatinda - Firozpur for 81 RKM and Gulbarga - Bidar for 110 RKM of NWR, NR and SCR respectively.

Tata Wins Contract For Construction Of New Parliament Building with A Bid of Rs.865 Crores

Tata Projects Ltd has quoted a figure of Rs.861.90 crore and Larsen and Toubro Ltd has quoted its bid of Rs.865 crore for constructing the new Parliament complex.

Larsen & Toubro Limited and Tata Projects Limited had submitted financial bids after qualifying in the technical round for the tender to construct the new Parliament complex in which Tata Projects has emerged as the lowest bidder. Tata Projects Ltd had quoted a figure of Rs.861.90 crore and Larsen and Toubro Ltd had quoted its bid of Rs.865 crore for constructing the new Parliament complex. According to the CPWD’s tender, the estimated cost of construction for the new building is Rs.889 crore.

The proposed work is of very prestigious nature and is required to be completed strictly within the prescribed time limit of 21 months with the highest standards of quality and workmanship. The bid document also specified that 50% of the workers will need to be skilled for work of stone masonry, carving, fresco, furniture, and adequate health and safety measures would need to be taken in view of the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic. Work on the new Parliament, a ground plus two-storey triangular-shaped building, is expected to begin after the ongoing monsoon session.

The new complex, with a built-up area of approximately 60,000 metre square, is set to come up on plot number 118 of the Parliament House Estate, which currently houses a reception, boundary walls and other temporary structures. It will be among the first projects to be finalised and tendered out as part of the Central Vista redevelopment, which includes plans to turn North and South Block, situated opposite each other on Raisina Hill and which house top central government ministries, into a museum and the construction of new administrative offices with an underground metro.
