JCB DEALER IN KOZHIKODE

 

JCB India Limited and its dealer Kadoor JCB inaugurated a world class dealer facility in Kozhikode on 17th July 2017. Spread over 15,000 sq.ft, this facility is set up to provide a unique experience to JCB customers for all their equipment requirements related to sales, service and JCB genuine parts. This facility strengthens JCBs presence in five key districts of Kerala - Kozhikode, Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad and Malappuram. This facility will also be the new Head Office for Kadoor JCB.

 

 

 

BHARATBENZ LOWERS PRICES

 

In order to pass on the lower tax rate under the GST, BharatBenz lowered the MRPs of its entire range of products by 0.4 per cent to 2.5 per cent depending on the model and the State. The company expects the GST to usher in an additional momentum which they will be able to tap by passing on the GST benefits to their customers. The manufacturer also plans to tap into the borderless transportation which is expected to improve the overall efficiency of logistics companies by introducing more modern and efficient trucks.

 

 

 

MANITOU GROUP IN INDIA

 

After it recently acquired TEREX Equipment Pvt. Ltd., Manitou group inaugurated its new entity, Manitou Equipment India (MEI) Pvt  Ltd, which will develop backhoe loaders and skid steer loaders for the Indian markets as well as other emerging markets. Manitou Ancenis-based teams and its MEI counterparts will meet to discuss about cultural diversity, and the Manitou Group also has a dedicated integration team which will be the direct link with MEI for the next eight months to facilitate the transition.

 

 

 

TATA’S SMALL COMMERCIAL VEHICLES

 

Tata Motors is expanding its portfolio of small commercial cargo vehicles, with addition of three new products under its Ace brand, priced between `3.08 lakh and `4.78 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). The new ‘XL series’ for its Ace Range -- Ace Mega, and Ace Zip, offers a loading deck which is 15 per cent longer than the standard versions. The XL series of SCVs are BS-IV compliant, and with it, the company offers a complete portfolio of last mile delivery solutions.

 

 

 

MULTIX IN METROS

 

Eicher Polaris will revise the strategy for its Multix personal utility vehicle launched in mid-2015. By the earlier strategy, the company focused the Multix onto Tier II and Tier III regions, but the response they got for their product over the last two years was not up to the mark. Subsequently, the company has decided to focus this product on metros. The unique feature of this product is the X-Port power point which can generate up to 3 KW.

 

 

 

SONALIKA TRACTORS GROWTH

 

Sonalika International Tractors registered global sales of 25,002 units and domestic sales of 22,165 units in the second quarter that ended on 30-06-2017, and when compared to the same quarter last year, the company has grown by 17.6 per cent and 18.4 per cent respectively. Its domestic sales touched 8,379 units registering a growth of 10.3 per cent over last year and exports touched 907 units. The sales growth has led to the increase of the company’s overall market share to 13 percent.

 

 

 

TATA MOTORS POST GST

 

Tata Motors whole-heartedly welcomes the initiative by the GOI for introducing GST resulting in one uniform tax across the country. Following the roll out of GST, the company will pass on the entire benefit to its customers in the ex-showroom prices. The company offers a price reduction in commercial vehicles, cargo in the range of 0.3 per cent to 4.21 per cent and passenger transportation in the range of 0.6 per cent to 8.2 per cent.

 

 

 

MAHINDRA TRACTORS SALES

 

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the $19 billion Mahindra Group, announced its tractor sales numbers for June 2017. Domestic sales in June 2017 were at 31,522 units, as against 28,797 units during June 2016. Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) during June 2017 were at 32,933 units, as against 30,191 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 1,411 units.

 

 

 

LIEBHERR’S INNOVATIVE SYSTEM

 

Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH is currently putting a new system for the final painting of large crawler crane components into operation. This system corresponds to the latest requirements regarding environmental protection, occupational safety and paint application. Highly effective filters and systems for heat recovery are utilised here. Occupational safety and ergonomics are optimised by mobile work platforms and height securing devices. Liebherr has invested in the state-of-the-art for the technical application and process of paint coating along with the process data logging.

 

 

ASHOK LEYLAND SALES

 

Ashok Leyland reported an 11 per cent increase in total sales at 12,330 units in June as opposed to the company’s sales of 11,108 units during the same period last year. The medium and heavy CVs sales rose by six per cent to 9,202 units as against 8,685 units in the same month last year. The company’s LCV sales also grew by 29 per cent to 3,128 units as compared to 2,423 units in June last year.

 

 

 

VOLVO SOURCING FROM INDIA

 

Volvo Group has started sourcing engines for industrial applications from VECVs which is already the exclusive hub for the 5-8 litre, medium-duty Euro VI engines for automotive applications for Volvo's home base in Europe. At Pithampur, a separate production line has been set up for manufacturing Bharat stage III certified five litre and eight litre Volvo Penta engines which can be used for a wide range of different applications such as cranes, crushers and screeners, pumps, construction equipment, agricultural and forestry machinery.

 

 

 

DAIMLER ON GREEN POWER

 

By 2018 Daimler’s factory for manufacturing trucks and buses will be powered 100 per cent by renewable energy. The 400-acre manufacturing facility of DICV at Oragadam near Chennai meets more than 70 per cent of its electrical needs from renewable sources. At the facility DICV has a 3.3 MW capacity set up of solar panels which reduces its CO2 foot print by about 3,500 tons per year, and it has also entered into contracts with wind power producers.

 

 

 

TATA MOTORS DELIVERS BUSES

 

Tata Motors delivered 30 new buses to the BMTC comprising the Ultra 6/9 BS IV Midi; a fully built bus equipped with a fuel efficient TATA 497 TCIC engine with a seating capacity of 30 seats, and is 9 m in length and 2.5 m in width; and the Tata LPO 1512 equipped with an ISBe 5.9 BS IV engine. Powered by Tata Cummins SCR technology, this will be one of the most fuel efficient 11 meter buses in the BMTC fleet.

 

 

 

ASHOK LEYLAND’S INTELLIGENT EGR

 

At its Zonal Conference, Ashok Leyland unveiled its iEGR technology based range of products which will assist in achieving the BS-IV emission norms that was transitioned to in India. This technology will allow Ashok Leyland to convert their existing unsold BS-III inventory into BSIV-compliant vehicles. According to the CV manufacturer this technology suits the Indian road conditions better than the SCR emissions control technology, and is the only Indian OEM to successfully implement the iEGR for its products above 130 hp.

 

 

 

EICHER’S PRICE REDUCTION

 

In a bid to pass benefits of the new tariff regime under GST, Eicher Trucks and Buses has announced the reduction of prices on its entire product range. The new rates came into effect from July 1st, 2017. Eicher Trucks and Buses are offering the price reductions from 1.5 per cent up to 5 per cent on its range of trucks and buses. The price reduction varies model wise and State wise.

 

 

 

SCANIA’S LAUNCHES P 440

 

Scania CV India recently launched the P 440 8X4 20.2 Cu.m U-BODY tipper, aimed at increasing the productivity in India’s mining sector. The new U-BODY has been designed to suit Indian conditions and reduce the Total Operating Economy. The new tipper is positioned for coal, iron ore, and other mining activities, it has 5 per cent more hauling capacity and lower fuel consumption owing to its body design, superior wear resistant steel and low weight of the tipper body.

 

 

 

WIRTGEN WINS DESIGN AWARD

 

The German Brand Institute in Berlin decorated the Wirtgen Group with the 2017 German Brand Award for its Corporate Design. It was awarded by a high-profile expert panel consisting of experts in brand economy and brand science. It is the decoration for successful brand management in Germany. The Wirtgen Group award in the categories “Brand Strategy” and “Brand Design” represents the appraisal of an extensive process lasting three years and placing the complete Wirtgen Group brand architecture on a new, uniform and sustainable foundation.
